Why bother connecting charging pigtail to fuse box instead of directly to the battery terminal bolts by using two washers and two additional nuts on the top of existing(don't need to remove anything).
Here's my setup, which I think is more clean and charging pigtail completely hidden under battery cover.

See post above yours. Battery management system will need some time to update the state of charge. Probably won't make much difference for long term storage.

The experience that @UnhandledException had with a jump start scared me out of directly connecting to the battery. A very different situation than trickle charging, but something to note.

I think I actually like the look of connecting to the fuse box and routing along the existing wire loom better - but that is personal preference.

I read the post above. However, in the CTEK instruction is recommended to charge directly on battery terminal. Anyway, I can reconnect negative to the eyelet bolt on the strut mount.

I was looking for this on my 2019 Shelby GT350 manual and couldn't find it. Can you point me where it is(page number)?

Size is 6mm. I reconnected negative to the car's body ground. All my other cars owner manuals said so too.

i ended up attaching it to the power in fuse box and ground on strut tower. Using an optima charger/ tender.

I did not read all posts.

The middle post on the fuse box has the ammeter shunt. Look at the pictures posted on the first page. If you connect your tender to this terminal the cars computer will properly charge the battery when you are driving.

Just wanted to thank everyone for sharing this. I was scratching my head. But hooked my trickle charger up via the fuze box and strut mount ground and we’re good to go!
