just some more information for everyone. according to Lund since i have the FlexFuel tune i do not need an updated revision when adding catless headers. not sure how true this is or if its limited to only the Flex Tune but this is the info i have. (actually while writing this i heard back on my other lund ticket for the tstat) my tune also already incorporates for a Reische 170 tstat. i would still need to do logging after the LTs, but the changes would be minor. (process at the bottom).

the rear 02s are already turned off, so they will not throw a CEL.

when it comes time for emissions this would throw two NOT READY codes. Lund also has a fix for that, you'll just need to contact them a month prior to your sticker expiring. i've spoken with my emissions guy in Texas and he said as long as i'm showing all readies, it will legally pass. regardless if i have cats or not

The process to get the log is this:
Once the car is started and up to operating temp, start the log. Let the car idle for at least 2 minutes. Drive the car like normal for a couple minutes. Now, do a couple 3rd gear WOT pulls from 2500-7200 RPM. Once you have done the WOT pulls you are done.

Wrapped up day 1 yesterday around 4pm CST. Got the passenger header off and bottom 4 bolts off the driver side. All I can say is son of a bitch!! I didn't have to evacuate the AC system as I had a wrench that fit from the top of the engine bay (swivel ratchets are your friend). Did pull the tower brace, K brace and battery box to get the O2 sensor though. Motor mount was literally a non issue at all, "not even a maybe we have to remove it."

The hardest thing so far is my car has 22k miles, so the passenger cat bolt that you get from the engine bay was pretty much welded to the cat. Had my dad out there on the half inch socket wrench. We actually melted the bolt, and the nut. There's no threads left on the bolt or nut. Got the impact gun on there and it started to smoke lol.

One of the passenger motor mount bracket bolts broke a deep 13mm socket. Cracked it down the side.

And of course the passenger top header bolt.

So question for everyone:

With everything off of the car, how much of a bitch is it to install the headers at this point? Are we going to have the same issues, just in reverse?

At this point, you are halway done lol!

Not necessarily hard, it's just a process of what studs you will keep in the cylinder head for the headers now and how you will tighten everything up. Torque each bolt until you have skin missing from a knuckle. What tool contraption you made for one bolt will probably not work for the next bolt. Take your time and enjoy it afterwards. Not like you will see them after you are done anyways lols. My wife came out when I was done with the 2 day install and ask what I've been doing the whole time. I told her to go fold clothes and vacuum.

It's easier to get the stock ones off than it is to put the new ones in. New ones are physically larger.

Well need a driver side upper O2. The threads from factory were crossthreaded. Pulled the sensor out and the threads look terrible. Going to a dealership Monday morning to see what we got

Finished up for today, took about 20 minutes to get the driver side header off. Just waiting on headers from beefcake now. Should be here tomorrow, hopefully sometime early.

Wrapped up the tstat, so all good to go there

Got the headers in a couple hours ago. Beautiful finish. But under the car they go! Started on the passenger side. Ripped the AC bolt and stud out (and that bracket wrapped around the AC line) and installed the provided bracket higher up in the proper position. No knock here! Removed all 4 lower studs, and started the 4 upper nuts by hand. Then set the header in place and installed the lower studs and nuts. Got the header nuts ran up to the block. Out of sunlight so we will start in the morning. So far we're going to install the O2 sensors after we tighten the headers down. If that changes then I'll update here.

We're going to line up the header to the block then tighten it down in place. Then move over to the driver side. More updates to come tomorrow. Should be a similar process. But literally everything has been a bitch. Luckily Im taking my time so should be able to fire it up before 4pm CST tomorrow

Micrometer is packed since we're moving, so I can't do exact measurements. I can do measuring tape though
