I need better lights in my 2015. Is there a reasonable price bulbs that won't hurt my wiring harness that will dramatically increase headlights?

Does your car have reflector or projector housings? (not sure what the V6 models came with, and assuming it doesn't have the HID lighting)

If projector, use an H11 LED replacement.

I am not sure what type it has. Is there a way to test it?

OP, you have asked about changing the ride height of the rear of your car. Have you done so? Because, if you have, now your lights are pointed more at the ground closer to the vehicle. They will have to be readjusted.

The OEM HID lights are very bright, so I assume you have traditional Halogen bulbs. Take a picture of the headlight and post it here.

The HID headlights are standard equipment on all 2015+ Mustangs.

They are a lot better than the prior Mustang headlights, but many newer cars have even brighter lights.

Something else to consider is that on a 9 year old vehicle, your lenses may be cloudy. If that is the case, they will be dim no matter what wattage or lumins you install.

The bulb performance does drop over time but shouldn't be that noticable maybe an alignment issue...

Would higher watt bulbs work without damage to housing or wiring?

IIRC the ballast fitted to modern HID lights give out the same power no matter what bulb is plugged into it so fitting 50W bulbs will still run at the 35W of the stock fittings. You guys are lucky, in the EU and RHD (UK and AUS) cars we get 25W D8S units!

is it because of the ballast the led performance is so low?

The ballast will put out the wattage it is rated for, nothing more and i doubt nothing less. Better performing bulbs will help as long as nothing else is sub par, the ballast is basically a power amplifier and they can go bad but more likely the bulbs would go bad I'd imagine
