Are most of you folks living in the eastern states (where most 1 plate registrations are)? I think only about 20 states allow 1 rear license plate; most of them require front and rear plates. I think I only saw 3 photos of cars with front plates on it (not counting the non-US plate).
I'm in Texas and they require front plates.
I bought my car from a dealership in Detroit with the virgin front bumper and that's the way it'll stay.
When these pecker woods start paying my car note they can drill my bumper.
Until then screw em.
Me and my matis are in your face!

It's a shame that the designers couldn't do it like the way it is on my Honda; they have threaded inserts underneath the bumper and you would just bolt the license plate holder to the bottom of the bumper so if you were to remove the license plate bracket, there is no holes on the front of the bumper so it's "clean". Drilling holes in the front part of the bumper just isn't cool.

Not cool at all.
Just bureaucratic bullshit.
If you feel the need to pull me over, you're not likely to be in front of me.
I'm too old to put up with bullshit. Not gonna do it.
I believe it's called "civil disobedience". 😎

I'm also in Texas and went without a plate for several years. Then we moved to a new town and apparantly the local PD looks out for that (I got pulled over and given a warning). So to avoid the hassle I put on a no-drill plate bracket. Texas really needs to do away with front plates.

My interactions with the law over my rather long life have been overwhelmingly positive.
But I did get stopped about a year ago after I'd just gotten my car, by a DPS trooper for, you guessed it, no front liscnse plate.
I explained that the car came from out of state and wasn't drilled for a bracket, so he gave me a warning. Which I've thus far ignored. 🤷🏼‍♂️
But what a surly prick he was. And that seems to be a theme among state troopers, looking back over my limited encounters. As opposed to our local sheriff's department, who have all been extremely friendly and pleasant, regardless of the outcome.
But I agree, I feel front plates are just another example of bureaucratic tyranny.
And I get enough of that from the Fed.
Creak...... (My knees from getting off my soapbox)

I'm in NJ and we're a two plate state. I won't run a front plate on my GT or GT500, either permanantly or attached with some kind of bracket.

Its hard to get pulled over for that when 90% of the cops are sitting in the highway medians on their cell phones. Hell, I'm still driving around in my 2008 F150 with the original inspection sticker.

If I got stopped, I'd use the fact I don't have a front plate as a negotiating point to plead out, because the lack of plate wouldnt be the reason for the initial stop. No one cares.:)
