If it wasn't for the S550, what would you be looking at?

Assuming that the MY14 S197 continued for another... let's say two years.

I was looking at a MkVII GTI, Focus ST, BRZ, and the latest WRX or STi. The only thing that would have put up a true fight for my affection would be a hypothetical BRZ STi. I'm honestly so happy that the S550 hits all the right spots.

There are a lot of really great cars out currently and on the Horizon. Great time to be a car enthusiast.

I would build my 2011 5.0 for track duty and finally go out with my local Aston Martin club to Summitt Point.

Make sure it has an extended warranty! I'm a Benz tech and I don't recommend anything more than 3-4 years old considering cost of maintenance.

2016 Audi TTs Quattro 310hp also in silver/ebony or nappa leather though it would be about 11k more than the Mustang, Other consideration is the 2015 Ford F150 FX4 which will be right around the same price as the Audi though depending on xplan pricing.

If the S197 went on for another two years, I would just stick with my 2012 GT, unless I found a good deal on a '13-14 GT500.
