I tried RTR grille clone

So typically I don't like to buy off brand Chinese iteams from Amazon (when I can) But I wasn't sure how much I would like the look. So didn't want to plunk down full cost.

Paid $80 grille arrived. Good quality. Fit perfectly. Saw a few posts over time asking about them. So figured I post for reference.

i think stuff like this usually just comes from that same actual factory the american company has build the parts for cheap before they mark them up like crazy.

This is the one I ordered. Handful of other sellers have the exact same one. So I just ordered on price and shipping speed.

Not always though, some are indeed lower quality.

Looks very similar to the OEM version, but it is actually much lower quality once you have it in hands. I returned mine.

I bought a smoked out one with led’s from eBay. They fit good but what tells everyone they’re not the real RTR ones is the color tone. My headlights are a blue-ish tone and the RTR reps are a yellow-ish tone. I have them wired to my fog lights so I turn them off from time to time.

Sure. Thing for me is I didn't want the LED lights no matter what color or tone they are, add to that I'm not actually concerned if people think it's a legit RTR grille or not.

Heck 98% of the people around me don't know the difference between Saleen, Roush, or a Cobra. Most haven't even heard of RTR. And that includes a handful of other mustang owners never mind the subtle lighting nuance 🫠

I could tell them my GT is a Shelby Saleen Edition, Built at the Ford Roush Factory in Bangladesh and most people in VA would just say "yeah I looked at one of those but...."

When companies use China for production the same parts will become available on alibaba for a lot less money. Same quality.

Most common thing I hear is “oooh I like those middle lights.” yeah not even mustang owners would probably know the difference
