Hypothetical Redeye vs Boosted 2018 GT

I ran the numbers on the 1/4 mile calculator as follows, obviously based on ideal and equal conditions:

Hellcat Redeye weight with average size driver = 4,650 lbs
Estimated WHP = 700

2018 Mustang GT, A10 with average size driver = 4,000 lbs
Estimated WHP with Stage II Pro-C, with mods = 625

1/4 calculator says the GT would cross the line first.

So who might win in a 50 roll?

I have the opportunity to find out in the next week or 2.

Redeye wins. They trap in the 136-138 range. The mustang might trap 135 at that power level.

I think 10 horsepower is about 100 lbs of weigh reduction. So the red eye should be a bit faster but not by a lot.

I'd be really surprised if driver skill and luck weren't the deciding factors. Sounds too close to call IMO.

On second thought - probably whoever has the better tires wins.

Honestly asking, people can race from a roll at the drag strip? What, clean/dry up the waterbox and gun it at the lights, or somewhere slightly further down, like the 330?

Isolated stretch of highway in the boondocks.

Going from a 4.75" pulley to a 4.5" should add about 2 - 2.5 additional psi which equals 40 - 50 hp according to Procharger.

This would put me around 675 whp. Redeye is supposed to be around 700, but it totes about 500 more pounds than my GT.

Got a smaller pulley on the way. I should be safely at around 650 whp once installed.

Should close the gap slightly.

I have a roush stage two on my 2019. Similar power as your setup. From a roll I put a few cars on a redeye from 60 to 150. Probably had similar weights as I had a few passengers. He was not happy.
