sounds like the headgaskets are busted or you had head lift. engine would idle funny if u were running low compression on 1 or more cyls, and it'd be blowing both white and blueish smoke if you fried the pistons/rings.

but damn does it sound nice at high rpm.

just watched the video. im betting you pushed the head up. 18psi on a stock block is quite a bit.

So with a busted head gasket do you just replace and go or does the block need to be re decked ?

if it pushed the gasket you'd just replace it.

Really ?
I get the block won't need to replaced but my engine builder said the surface of the where the gasket sits (both block and heads) may be have become uneven .
You could just keep blowing head gaskets if it is , unless you re deck it ?

The deck should be checked and the heads should be magnafluxed to check for cracks anytime a head gasket is cracked/blown or overheated.

Any particular reason to look at those? I was thinking a little older.

Suspension parts is likely the only advantage over a 79-93. And all those parts are cheap and can be swapped between both platforms. The 79-93 is lighter. The SN95 and New Edge are more readily available now. Just go with the one you like the best.

Little but longer wheelbase. HPP found this out on boosted ego's cars.
