I talked to them, they said it will take 3 weeks to custom the 2015 fitment without adapter.
This, I got a message stating the same lead time. No matter, won't have the car for a month.

Talked to the guy at Speed Dawg, super awesome dude. I ordered a knob and an adaptor, Id rather not go custom cause I switch knobs all the time! Ill post some pics when I install!

They just replied:

"You may now select that option in the adapter drop down box on our web site.

Thank you,
Speed Dawg Customer Service"

Indeed there is 15 Mustang option under adapters, but I am confused here, is it a knob with the cutout at the bottom or it is an adapter based solution? Also do I need "Burnout Button" or "Mustang Boot Retainer"? If yes, which type?

I sent them another email with these questions...

I just ordered the regular knob that matches our thread pattern with the 21 dollar adaptor.

this is the adaptor. I am a little hesitate to do this because I am not sure how this will look. But I guess the good thing is you can use pretty much any universal knobs if you have the adaptor. I think they probably get bombarded with 15GT folks today and wondering what is going on lol..

We'll know soon, my setup shipped today :) Ill post up how it looks. It seems it should look almost OEM but a little taller.

A little taller doesnt bother me...this was my setup in my S197 and HURST short throw. It was great for track days and street driving, able to return your hand to 2oclock really quick .

I had Steeda's billet handle and ceramic coated steel shift knob on my '07 GT500 with a triax shifter. I would love a similar look for my S550.

They just replied again (I'm impressed about their fast responses, really...)

"We will produce this knob with recessed threads for the 2015 Mustang in which the Reverse Lockout Adapter is not needed but the knob must be secured to the shifter using a Loctite type of adhesive. Because this would be a made to order product please allow approximately 3 weeks for us to produce and ship from the date that the order is received.

The Burnout Button is for drag racing applications and is not needed for normal use.

You do not need a boot retainer for the 2015 Mustang. They are only needed for 2005 through 2014 Mustangs.

Thank you,
Speed Dawg Customer Service"

That seems to kind of defeat the purpose of a short throw shifter lol. I mean I get the purpose of reducing movement of hand to shifter, but damn that thing is up there lol

I asked them how to order the knob with recessed thread (which does not need the adapter), they again responded very quickly (impressive!):

"Just select the 12mm x 1.25 Reverse Lockout option in the “select adapter thread size” drop down box.

Thank you,
Speed Dawg Customer Service"

So I just placed my order for the Black/Yellow Rally Style knob accordingly :-)

(of course with the correct shift pattern - 6 speed, reverse upper left)...

Love that one, but it's overpriced. Hopefully someone with more reasonable pricing will make one as well because I'm not paying that much for a shift knob.
Priced high due to that 50 Year logo......Speed Dawgs knobs with Ford logos are priced higher as well. :ford:
