How to improve B&O Sound

So, needless to say I am very underwhelmed with the 12 Speaker B&O sound quality. I have a Harmon/Kardon setup in my truck and let me just say, the difference is astounding. I have done some adjustments with the equalizers, but generally the sound is not crisp, kind of dull like. Is there anything to be done to get it sounding better? The Mach 1 460 audio setup in my 98 GT sounded better than this. Either that or ive been completely spoiled by the Harmon Kardon. Any tips appreciated. Money really isnt an issue but prefer to stay as close to stock as possible. Speaker replacements maybe?

If your looking for better sound I would ditch the factory amplifier and use aftermarket components. However to achieve this, a DSP module must be used in place of the factory amplifier to process the audio signal output of the factory head unit. I just bought a Idatalink Maestro Rockford Fosgate DSR-1 processor and harness (HRN-AR-F03) and have been enjoying crystal clear music from the time it has been installed. The install was fairly simple.
To install, you simply disconnect the 3 harnesses going into the factory amplifier and connect them to the HRNAR03 harness. Then plug the corresponding plugs on the harness into the DSR-1. The harness gives you a 12 volt turn on output since Ford and their infinite wisdom made the factory turn on 6 volts. One of the three harness plugs gives you pre stripped leads going to the front and rear speakers from your aftermarket amplifier.

Forgot to mention, I have the 9 speaker system which isn’t much different from the B&O. I kept the factory speakers and disconnected the door panel tweeters and center dash. I also replaced the pillar tweeters with aftermarket and added pillars in the b pillars. I can send up pics if interested and give you specifics on the install. For the record those factory speakers scream with good clean signal lol!

Me too. It actually deepens on which music you want it to play. It doesn't like all kind of music the same.

Classical = Forget about it
Rock = Not bad
Pop/Commercial = Great

It's balanced upon some specific kind of tunes, I would say the ones that are probably played more by the typical Mustang owner.

I replaced the entire B&O system, much better now.

We must remember. B&O was ,is just the high end branding of philips electronics.
