way back yonder, people would run their top heavy / narrow SUV (yes you Ford Explorer) at 90 mph on the Texas freeways cooking in the blazing hot Texas sun, then pop a tire and roll their vehicle and hurt themselves or worse. And of course their grieving families would $$$ue

Defective tires!

"The horror! The horror!" :eyebulge:

:headbonk:

Granted, many vehicles back in those days were not known for their IIHS roof strength ratings, but at 90 mph I doubt that would help.
The Ford Explorer / Firestone debacle didn't require hot pavement to cause a blow out.

That is so weird they kept it at 125mph.
Wonder if dealer would flash a different factory tune?
Even thou anything is possible, I don't see a reason for the dealer to change any settings coming out of manufacture. But your question is making me unease if that was the case and why?....

Just so you're aware. Changing the tune to stock will do almost nothing in regard to your warranty. But it would really only be a concern with internal engine component failure, trans, and possibly emissions equip. Sure turning it to stock during routine or minor service might alleviate suspicion from the dealer prior to any real issues but if ya have any real issues they will be able to tell you had a tune. It will just depend on your dealer

But to help you hear that turbo sound a tune will help as more boost will be louder, a cai will also add more of a sound element. I'm not sure if ford uses a diverter valve or wastegate/bov but upgrading those will add more sound.
