The only thing I noticed wrong with my GT is that my dust boots over my front struts are all mangled and not how they should be. Other than that she's all good.

Now twenty (20) total days at dealership service department, spread over three (3) attempts to repair windshield air leak. This third attempt still not looking good after being there for 14 of the 20 days. Not happy.

And BTW, this is the ONLY issue I have had with the car since delivery on 12/01/2014.

First of all, I do love my Mustang. That's for sure. But I do have /had some issues with it. Putting a sticker on the car saying that it is made with pride is one thing I can't believe. Go and browse for some pictures members posted already in the "recall, issues" section. There is also a thread asking to vote if you had or don't had issues. Last time I checked, 50% EB owners had issues. 57% GT owners had issues and 40% V6 owners had issues. (Looking on 80 members voted there)

On the other hand we have members they must have lots of money to waste writing comments like: "What you expect? It is only a $40,000 car...." and start shaking my head. I understand that some do not baby their cars, ripping everything off the car to put aftermarket parts on and race the "shit" auf of the Mustang and do not care a bit that panels, doors and windows are not fitting nicely. I can understand this. I personally talked with 2 service guys 2 weeks ago and they said that the Fiesta and Focus do look like much better than some Mustangs they have on the lot but cost much less money. My car was build on the 18.10.2014 as one of the 1st JOB2 cars. Saying that with JOB2 the cars do not have any issues isn't correct. I still can't believe that QC is releasing cars like the CO colored convertible with that bad roof cover one of our members posted. I personally would have refused to take it.

I can only say on the end. Check your rear end on your Mustang when you see a Mustang. When the trunk lit doesn't fit on the left side and the rear window is deeper on the left side - make sure it is on file. If you don't care anyways that's fine with me too! But IMO a $40,000 car should look much better when it is brand new. :gossip:
Most people that don't have issues will not go into that thread and if they do they probably can't be bothered to vote. Your stats are probably not remotely indicative of real numbers.

Keeping all these little complaints in mind, guess we, Europeans can be happy with the long wait we have, helping Flatrock to fine tune the car to meet BMW/Audi drivers expectations.

Only way to convince these guys (apart of the mustang power and looks)....I am convinced and are waiting for my delivery :headbang:...
My other Mustang '66 had virtually no issues over the past 10 years, hope to have the same experience with the Ecoboost...

Might still be interesting to start a new topic : What to check at delivery....

as you just stated 80 members voted and only a fraction of those have issues. To say there is a quality problem based on that small of a percentage of total vehicle owners (thousands) (obviously not everyone with an issue has stated they have an issue) is ridiculous. You are talking about a fraction of a percentage of cars with reported problems The real issue is the people with the problems like to talk the loudest Blowing everything out of proportion.
Where did I wrote thousands? I can't find it. If you have no issues, why do you assume that other members do not have them? Do I really have to post you some pictures from Mustangs they were released by FORD in Dearborn / MI passing the QC because you do ignore them?

Check the roof and rear window. That's fine with you?

The closed door is fine for you? Not for me. :gossip:

Rear bumper is correct installed for you? Not for this owner.

That this owner complains about his passenger door scratching on the fender is, I am sure, fine for you?

Transmission problems are fine for you too? Not for Nemesys.

Again. Do not start bashing around and write that I wrote thousands of cars have this issues. I am sure you can tell members why their already build Mustang is still sitting in Dearborn/MI for weeks now. Quality issues maybe?

This are only a couple issues posted here in the forum. If other FORD plants can ship out models with less alignment issues, why can't Dearborn?

Panel alignment has been improved since they started Job 2. As far as I can tell, the squealing brake problems are isolated incidences. First I've heard of auto tranny issues. Are there any articles about that one?
What is Job 1 and Job 2 you guys are referring to. I have not heard that on the forum before. Is there a thread discussing this that I missed? Tks

Job2 started the retail orders and Job1 was the dealer orders.

Read what I wrote before you quote me. I said yes there are issues but people are trying to say it is on huge numbers of vehicles. It is not. There are agreeably bad problems on a very small number of vehicles. The thousands comment was to show how insignificant the 80 number you posted is compared to the actual number of vehicles produced. Also these are not made in Dearborn, educate yourself.

Mine was near perfect from the factory. Mine arrived around the 26th of Jan. It was delayed by two days beyond the estimated arrival date. The only issues I've had at:

A long sweeping scratch on the back glass,

A small scratch on the rear bumper that looks like it was from transport.

And in two places on the paint there are two small pin sized indentations in the paint (looks like someone pressed the area with a office staple, that's how small it is.)

All my electronics work, no squeaks or rattles, engine sounds great no real issues. The scratch on the bumper came out with a buff, the one on the glass looks like it was scored with a carbon fiber blade I guess I could take it back to a dealer to get it replaced but it's only noticeable if you run your hand over it. The paint spots are so incredibly difficult to see, you are only able to do it once you use a mild solvent when you wash it to remove the wax over the area, and this is on a black car.

Over all I'm extremely pleased with my car's quality. My sister had a mustang and the plastic rattled, my mother had a 40th convertible and it rattled/creaked the whole time she's owned it. I've got an 98 F-250 Light Duty (108k miles) that I bought from my grandfather who got it new, and it's been great for the 6 years I've had it. My first car was a 96 Ford Explorer and that sucker saved my life when I flipped it hydroplaning (not firestone related lol) which was also first owned by my folks new ( I got it when it was 6 years old.) Other Family cars: 08 F-250 Super Duty (gas) bought second hand, 2012 Ford Explorer Limited ordered(100k miles), 2014 Focus picked up from the lot, 02 Expedition Eddie ed. 200k miles on it before sold it two years ago, And a 1972 F-100 with 36k miles on it... bit of rust on that one. We also had a 92 Crown Vic, and a 92 Explorer, a Bronco II. Mom's first car was a Mustang II (lol)... We've been ford people forever and have never had any Q/A problems. Either we've been extremely lucky, or the Q/A issues we are seeing are just a small portion of those being shipped compared to those sold, and thanks to the wonder of the Internet we are more aware of them.

What issues?

Lots of issues???

I am a Sales Manager at a Ford dealership and own a 15 GT/PP. I have 1,2xx miles on my GT and have had no issues. We sell about 25-30 Mustangs a month and currently have about 30 in stock. Each vehicle is inspected for scratches, dings, dents, fender alignments etc... when they are delivered to the dealership. Since the very first Mustang arrived last November I personally know of only two issues, both of which were caused by the transporters. A tear in the rear bumper's air defuser from loading on to the trailer and a dent on the hood from the transport driver's chains. I have yet to see any major alignment issues.

That being said, if there are any issues Ford Motor Company with make it right.

I wouldn't halt or postpone my Mustang purchase just because there are a handful of vehicles that need extra attention.

Inspect your vehicle before you sign on the dotted line. If you have an issue let your salesman / sales manager know. We all want the customers to be 100% satisfied with their purchase.

MANY --- meaning "ISSUES".....so many different type of issues!! Get it now...don't put what you want to read into someone's post....try your best....to understand what the person is writing.

And, for me and what I've learned, the % of cars that have issues is way too many!

YES...there are many who say that their car has no issues....great I'm happy for those that don't...OR refuse to acknowledge they really do and don't care as someone else has stated here. Some owners admit to issues but, don't care...so, for them their car is "perfect." :frusty: Whatever.

When you have so many dealers and managers, that will speak out, saying that this launch has "not been a good one"...then you know on average this car has way too many "ISSUES." The list is long.

Case in point..and this is fact. When the Fusion came out there was a TON of problems. LONG wait to get cars....many cancelled orders. Long story short....the cars were made in Mexico. Then they had to be shipped to Flat Rock to fix all of them...what a mess!!! Took a long time to work through that.

This roll out is having way too many "ISSUES" and that is what those that are talking this issue are saying. Kinda simple really. I read, I see, I talk to Ford dealers.....I learn....then I deduct.....HEY...guess what?? TOO many problems for this new car...especially for the big deal 50th year celebration etc.

To go along with this....do the Ford plants have problems? Apparently so...THE NEW ALL ALUMINUM BODY F-150...that Ford has spent a TON of money on in development and tooling costs.....is delivering this truck with....PANEL FIT ISSUES. Fact....not advertised to be sure. I confirmed this with 2 upper Ford people. One told me..the other confirmed it.

"Quality is Job 1"....sure it is....mr./mrs union person.

Great roll out of 2 NEW vehicles....:headbonk:
Yes there are a very large number of different issues. No they are not occuring at the crazy alarming rates everyone here is trying to portray.
