53 and love my EB vert. The EB may not be the top dog, but it's no slouch and it's miles above the '89 5.0 I owned. My previous NA 4 cyl, CVT practical car was killing me slowly. Now I hit the start button, drop the top, and smile all the way home!

The Mustang has always had broad appeal... My grandmother bought her new 1966 coupe, 289 4bl, at age 53 and drove it till she died. Now it sits in my dad's garage waiting for me with less than 50K original miles.:)

Agree. What form of divine intervention has to occur to make that happen?
Contact the moderators or we just create one... But we need it in the sticky thread so its allways present.. hmm..
Apparently there is a sizeable portion of this forum that is over 50yrs old.. Just look how fast this thread is growing.

This thread is blowing up bigtime. I love seeing everyone's rides.
Here's me and my ride. 2019 GT, MT-82, PP1, 301A, with active exhaust.

Not sure why us old folks would be an anomaly with these cars anyway. I always figured the point of not dying after the kids were through school was to have fun. :like:

Now that we are older, we have more time and money to have fun. I bought my first Mustang when I turned 50 and just before my 62nd, I bought my fourth and first GT. Last year I took my 15 EB (heavily modified with lots of Steeda gear) to drive the "Tail of the Dragon". Next year I am going to take my GT and drive up to the top of Pikes Peak. Gotta get those Bucket List items checked off while you can still do them.

As a senior with many automotive choices (and not especially cost-constrained), I consider my GT purchase as a "conquest sale" for Ford.

(I semi-retired at 62 after a long career in finance/accounting, entered automotive field since it's my hobby in 2016).

How does one contact a moderator to suggest creating a Senior Citizen Owners Group?

53 years old, but going fast never gets old. I kinda feel for those 30 somethings that have to drive a minivan to shuttle a bunch of kids around.

Bought my '16 GT PP Premium new at age 69 after totaling the Cobra. Still have the '86 Resto Mod. In my mind, "senior" is only a social category. I tend to ignore such characterizations.
