Mine doesn't leak anywhere, including when I use the pressure washer. And it's 5 years old. I would get the leak checked out. Good luck finding a dealer that understands convertibles.

It's pretty easy, I removed the driver side panel to install the SmartTop module in my vert. I'm about ready to install a light bar and I'm considering upgrading my speakers while I have everything apart.
Crutchfield.com is good place find out what will fit your car. If you buy from them, they include written instructions on how to open the panels and replace the speakers.
Look at this video on installing a light bar to get an idea on how hard it is to remove the rear panels.
