  1. Is the Performance Package worthwhile?

Was $2995 when I bought my 2016. At $6700 it makes more sense to mod as appropriate to get the platform where you want it.
  2. Who else has an unintentional Garage Queen?

It's embarrassing but it's reality. Bought my 19 in March of 19 so it's 3 plus years old and I just hit 8,500. I'm retired (finally got canned) bought the 19 after selling my motorcycles. Between covid and retirement racking up miles takes awhile. I don't use it in wet weather so who knows when...
  3. How many GTs are Owned by Seniors?

Both of mine have been replaced-to much basketball way beyond my prime. Say Ed if I drive down to NC will you upgrade my calipers to Brembos ? :)
  4. How many GTs are Owned by Seniors?

75 here as well. I luv the questions.
  5. Perceptions of Middle-age Men in Mustangs

I couldn't agree more. Midlife is one stage, I'm 75 and after 50 years of marriage and countless fun rides and automotive related activities my wife still doesn't get it. She drives a 16 year old 4Runner that looks like it was previously owned by the Taliban. She has never driven either of my...
  6. Question re: Short Throw Shifters from Steeda, Barton, Hurst and MGW

Do the high end short throw shifters (MGW X Spec, Steeda Tri-Ax, Barton Hybrid) eliminate or reduce lock out? Are they worth the investment? Wayne
  7. Do you drive in quiet mode?

Quiet when in the neighborhood. Move to Normal when appropriate. Had a Magnaflow cat back on my 16. Too much noise when you didn't want it. The active exhaust is a perfect compromise.
  8. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Covered my cup holders. No drinking or eating in the car unless its the driver.
  9. Priming Question

    I be enlightened - TY
  10. Priming Question

Can you gentlemen enlighten me (I'm a senior) as to why priming is an issue? Am I missing some fun activity due to my station in life?
  11. What is your carvana sell offer for your Gt?

Carvana offered $38,000. I have 6000 miles on my 19 Premium, black out package. It's a garage queen. Paint is perfect. No dings dents or scratches. Although $38K is a nice number for a two year old GT its gonna stay in the garage.
  12. Engine issues in 2019-2020

6000 on my 19. No oil consumption, no lock out (yet) to engine ticks or cockpit rattles. I will say the seams seem better than on my 2016.
  13. Not Quite As Limited As I Had Hoped

Was bored. Did a "build your own" on the Ford Site. Selected the Mach 1. Didn't go over the top with options. It came to $66,450 not including sales tax. So, even if I could find one at that number the damage would be $69K. Thats insanity. Its a nice platform but get real. Lots of other fun...
  14. GT MPG

Highway (assuming I'm not doing 85MPH) 26-28MPG Around town 17-20 MPG
  15. Mach 1 Road Trip Review (1400+ miles in 3 days)

Or worse yet you're not home and someone decides to take down a bike or bikes without moving the car. Years ago I had a show car in the garage covered and tucked away for the winter. My sister-in-law stops by to return kitchen equipment. You guessed it..she stacked things (pots and pans)on the...
  16. Is the Performance Package worthwhile?

Couple lessons learned on my part. Had the PP on my 2016 Premium. If you reside in a seasonal climate be prepared to buy another set of wheels and winter tires (+$1500-$2000). Staggered wheels mean don't get a flat. Carrying two different 19" tires ain't gonna happen. Thus the Ford supplied air...
  17. Frustrating to park it all winter

Been lucky this year. Given Covid my wife is under self imposed house arrest. Thus her 4Runner is readily available for my unlimited use. Life this winter is good.
