just went and looked up the 2015 Challenger. Still looks like a fat lady to me
Yeah, but it got you to look ;)

I would be interested in this car for the simple reason that it has a usable rear seat....add 485 hp and now we have something.

It's like some people are walking to work and they need something to drive now. The car won't go on sale for months so patience is required no matter what they tell us today.

The Boss had 444hp, and word on the street is they are using the same parts from the boss, so that leads me to believe its gonna be at least 444hp and you know ford can squeeze 6 more hp to get that number to 450hp.

450hp for 50 years, makes sense, or is it wishful thinking........

As an observer who is in no way shape or form in position or considering buying a new mustang, but kind of living vicariously through anyone here who is, I wonder how many of you are serious about "now looking at other options" or just bluffing. :) I wager most of you will wait as long as you have to before eventually ordering. Am I wrong? Set me straight here...

For the record I totally agree with your frustration that Ford is dragging this out so long. I anticipate the numbers as much as anyone. It would be absurd for Ford to take orders with no weight, hp , tq and other numbers, so I expect they'll drop very soon.

Not gonna lie, the R/T Shaker with the 392 is now an option for me lol
Me as well. It will still be a fat pig though. And I have a feeling pricing will be at the old SRT8 level which means starting at $45K (or more).

485 HP is tempting with that nice interior.

2015 ordering has been pushed back to May 20th, sorry to say.
I had a feeling. And I have a feeling it will get pushed later than that as slowly as Ford is dragging its heels. :(

Paid off our G8 GT in Feb. So I'm in the market RIGHT NOW. Just putting our monthly payments now in the bank for the downpayment. Right now its either '15 Mustang GT or '15 Challenger 392 RT Scat Pack. Whoever gives me information first is going to have an advantage. And it may very well come down to which has the quicker 0-60 and 1/4 mile time for me.

I'm currently driving a 10 year old GTO. I love it but want something new. It lacks in most creature comforts these cars are going to have. And the longer I drive it the more money I'm going to have to pump into it for repairs and maintenance. I'm not a tire kicker, I'm a buyer. :)

I am actually going to test drive a '14 GT tomorrow morning. If I like it, I will likely buy it. Though I may go for a 2 year lease if it is offered and then switch over to the new model in a couple years.

It feels like the muscle car wars are back. It's tit for tat, nobody really wins. (unless you have a Mustang of course:ford:).

..and I have to say, I wasn't born back then, but looking at what my father told me and others, the bigger engine, more HP is right around the corner. However, weight is at a premium along with FE. Back then nobody cared, along with handling. What did it do in the straight line, how does it look, really all that mattered.

Anyways, hopefully Ford doesn't have us waiting too long. I think that loaded up challenger scat pack will be out of most peoples price range.

Ford is ahead of the curve still, lighter, faster, better handling while you still get those bare boned muscle car roots and styling with a nice beefy sounding V8.

Let the wars continue!..lol

Do you remeber where exactly it was posted? It's not one of their main postings. It looks like it was a response to someone another post.

We also had a chance to speak to David Principato (Marketing Director, Ford Brand). A few tidbits from him:
Official specs will be released within the next 3 to 4 weeks.
Ordering guides are still being finalized.
Only top volume Mustang dealers will be allocated the 50 Years Limited Edition Mustang.
When asked whether automatics will be able to be purchased with the Brembo package and/or dash gauges, his response -- Ford is not releasing those details yet.
From JarStang in the other thread: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php/mustang-worlds-fair-1630.html

Looks like we have to wait a month or less. This is great news!
