The little plastic piece in front of the rear tires...it scrapes my driveway entrance occasoinally and yesterday I found one partially detached. I will see if I can fix it but it is pretty small, aero wise. Is that it's function? Would I miss them if they weren't there?

its a drip rail. now problem removing it wont have a bad effect except maybe more dirty water on the side of your car

The piece located just in front of the rear tire and underneath the side skirt is called the Rocker Molding Rear Deflector. It’s a small plastic component that helps improve aerodynamics by directing airflow around the rear tires and it also helps keep water, rocks, dirt and other road debris from being kicked up into the rear wheel well area. It is not that important and can be left off. I doubt anyone would actually notice a difference.

Thanks for all the replies...it was a T20 bit away from repair. I added a washer as it looks to have pulled thru the hole.
I have 2x4s in front of my drive entrance to prevent this, but I guess I missed recently. I will be more careful...

How many of you have removed the sound tube and put it in the trash? What a waste of money putting that on a car. Mine is long gone.

I haven't yet after 6 years. I figured why spend money for plugs, etc. since it's not harming anything as far as I can tell. If and when it breaks, I'll probably plug it off.

I read somewhere on here somebody smoke tested one of those and it leaked like a sieve. I took mine off because it was aesthetically unappealing and was going to make checking the oil an even bigger pita than it already is with a strut tower brace. I didn't notice any difference sound wise after removing it. Bye flcia.

I took mine off shortly after buying the car and put it in the basement, as the next guy may want it. I keep it next to the plastic cover that goes over the engine and the air compressor from the trunk to fix a flat. Buy yourself a space saver spare tire, and a wheel spacer if you have Brembo brakes on the front.

Sounds tube is long gone. One of the few factory parts I took off that I didn’t save. Disintegrating in a landfill somewhere now…
