Thanks for the info on the Power/Ground. I won't worry as much unless I hear noise.
Yes, I ran RCA's, Speaker Wire, and Remote down one side, and power down the other. Probably wont need the remote. I believe both amps have Auto Sense. RCA's are SKAR 6-channel. They claim to be OFC and twisted pair. I actually bought a big pack of ferrules, as I watched a YT video saying it was better to use on amps that have bare wire screw connections rather than spade connectors. I need to go back and use them on the distribution blocks too.

The biggest issue will probably be trying to figure out how to run speaker wire behind everything from the amp to the rear deck speakers (rear fill). I still need full use of the seat-back to fold down.

I am slowly building a system in my 2016 v6 with the base audio. I picked up a JBL DSP4086, and a SKAR RP800.1D along with an Infinity Kappa 800W 8" sub and a GP Audio Tru Spec box tuned to 34hz. I just wanted a bit more volume than stock, and to fill in the lows.
I have all the cables run, and will be mounting the amps the middle of next week. I'm curious how all of you decided to mount yours. I'd rather not build an amp rack, but I'm interested in ideas. Will they just screw into the rear seat-backs, etc....

Feel free to post pics
I went w/ a totally stealth system, got the idea watching some YouTube channel. DSP, upgraded speakers in the factory locations, false trunk bottom w/ 4 10" subs in the spare tire and amps mounted under the false truck bottom. It looks factory just by looking at it, 1600 watts in total. Took a few days w/ installing sound skin, wiring and so on but it sounds great.

Preliminary picture as the new amprack is not 100% finished yet.

If you pull the rear quarter trim panels you can remove the interior trunk trim to run wire behind it. I did this and it’s tucked really well. I used flexible wire sheath and zip-tie tie downs to run the wires under the parcel shelf

It's a shame I had all of that apart when running the main cables, and broke both foam squares inside the panels. I'm realizing now I should have just run a another 2 channels of speaker wire from amp to the speaker connections behind the dash, but too late now. At least I have some practice :)

Those are actually some useful accessories. Hard plastic wire loom looks cheap and tacky, IMO. Sleeving seems much more useful, and the zip mounts can be stuck anywhere there's 3/4" of metal.

I LOLed. "Sorry to interrupt my post..."
Things kind-of shifted from "amp install pics" to OEM integration. It was meant to be a subtle nudge back in the right direction. Seemed easier than starting a new thread

I just bolted the amp to the top of the box.

Just screw all your components to a roughly cut piece of MDF and toss it into the spare tire well, no need to secure it in place or do anything else to make it look better. At least that's the previous owner of one of my cars seems to have thought :cwl:

It blows my mind how people will throw money at a car in the worst way possible. This is just as bad as all those Honda Civic owners in the 90s who bought ugly body kits and slapped them on their car without bothering to have them painted….except that won’t cause a fire from shorted wires 🤣

Sad part is that it was a 'professional' car audio shop that did this, the car came with a bunch of receipts in the glove box. I may have been too harsh on the previous owner, likely that he didn't know better.
