Driven there multiple times for work and it never seemed too bad. Then again all of the people from our Houston office hate where I live in comparison. I'd jay [MENTION=26519]JB1[/MENTION] is right, knowing your way around is the key.

I moved to the coastal bend and don't miss rush hour at all. I used city streets to get around a lot when I lived in the South Hampton/ Medical center area. Rush is a B-I-T-C-H.

I drive 50 miles / day in that stuff...all Interstate 10 - so it could be way worse, but like other said, you get used to it...

It's really not bad if you know when/where to drive.. I live downtown and work outside the beltway, so I'm usually going opposite of traffic. But I never get on the freeway without checking google maps for traffic. Blindly trying to drive through the city at rush hour, or even just any time during the day, is madness.

I stayed in Atlanta for the past 1.5 years on job assignment and it was 10X worse than Houston. Happy to be back.

Driving from Katy to Baytown and back to Katy everyday. You get used to it....and learn to budget $30-40 a week in tolls.

Don't know how yall get used to it, I think this traffic sucks. I drive from Cypress to Pasadena at tollway and 45s Tuesday through Friday. I've been driving this route for over 12 years now and have watched day in and day out traffic multiply 10 fold since I have been doing this. There are way to many people in this city and can't wait to move out in four years when I retire from the Military.

Man, you must really love driving. I drove 5.5 miles each day in the FM1960 area and got frustrated on Fridays for the heavy traffic!! I am retired now nd have no trouble picking and choosing my drive times. It's beautiful.

I live to drive. It's my favorite part of the day.

That FM1960 is amazing. I can't imagine where all those people are going during the day. East or westbound doesn't matter horribly crowded is the norm.

I reverse commute from downtown Houston to Sugar Land so usually traffic is pretty light. But this morning it was wide open. God bless MLK day
