I am free this coming week and I dont know if I should try or take to a shop (any suggestion of a decent and reasonable one in shop in the DFW area?)

You might contact Cobb Tuning in Plano. They did great work on the WRX that I used to own.

Think Cobb would have an issue installing any intercooler other than their own?

I doubt it, it's still money for install time. Chris Fleming runs the shop up there. Give him a shout and ask. I wouldn't expect them to warranty the part, only the install.

The install is not hard at all. It took me about 4 hours taking my time and also switching the grilles out. The trickiest part is the hidden screws that hold the bumper on. There are a few videos out there that will help. I just downloaded the directions from FFTec. Even though I have the Levels IC, the install is the same.
