So I am finally getting the chance to take my car to the track this Friday. Mods are in my sig but basically I have a Whipple, I am auto and I will be running MT ET S/S, which are on the car. What I am wondering is if I should launch from idle or stall the car? From what I understand I can only stall for like 4 seconds before Toyota Law or whatever its called kicks in and kills the power, if I am understanding that correctly. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys.

Press and hold your t/c button for 8-10 seconds, disengaging ah/tc. Put your rear tire pressure at 18, do a line lock burnout for 4-6 seconds. Stage shallow, barely triggering the 2nd staging light, this will help you get a "running start" on your 60ft. Put your left foot on the brake, bring up your rpms to 1500'ish, mash the go pedal when you're ready.

Whipples tune won't allow your to stall. Mash from idle
Thats what I thought. Thanks guys for all the advice. I am not new to the track just curious about how to launch. I drive around daily with TC fully disengaged and have done a test launch and actually got pretty good traction. These tires do not require a burnout but rather just a quick spin clean them off as per Mickey Thompson. I will be dropping the PSI to 18 too. I do plan on putting my left foot on the brake and then mashing but as it would seem, I have to do it from idle. I will definitely report back with timeslips and video from my GoPro. Thanks for the feedback. :headbang:

My best 60 is a zombie stomp from idle. 1.58 vs 1.68 with any revs at all.

What was your tire setup? What did you run on those passes?

yeah Toyota law sucks, Just launch from idle. You'll have less wheel hop like that anyways.
