No worries. On start up pegs the gauge at 100 psi @ 1000 rpms. Drops after warm up.
totally normal my dude.On start up pegs the gauge at 100 psi @ 1000 rpms. Drops after warm up.
While I am at it...What is the purpose of the Vacuum pressure gauge? why not another more useful gauge? But why? If the dealership put in the 5-30 synthetic blend why is the start up so high? Its the same weather is hot or cold here in SC. So the flow at low temp would not put the pressure so high? Perhaps something to do with the oil cooler?

It is a trip down memory lane if you're over 50. High vacuum equals better gas mileage, low vacuum equals you're driving it right. While I am at it...What is the purpose of the Vacuum pressure gauge? why not another more useful gauge?
cool oil is thicker than hot oil. the pressure drops with the engine getting up to temp. But why? If the dealership put in the 5-30 synthetic blend why is the start up so high?
