Not sure what you mean by hotspots, but I'm flying without the outer extra smaller parking light bulbs. It's only the turn signal switchback bulb, parking light socket is empty.

I did the install back in February, stock bulb on passenger side, 6000k on the driver side. $10 eBay switchbacks.

Me too. Im still confused how the two clips / hooks come off the bulb

I took the wheel off, pulled back the liner, used my tiny baby hands, and it's still a bitch and half to install the bulbs. Also when unscrewing the retaining clip, the screw came out and I can't figure out how to get the bulb secured again. Right now the driver side bulbs is pointing to the far left because I can't get it locked into place. Anyone have any tips?

Stock looks like it illuminates the road better just from the above picture. I do like the color more on the 6000k though

Yeah for some reason that one came out a little darker. Here a this one I posted awhile back on a different post.
