I get about 250 a tank now. I bet at e85 flow rate your can almost WATCH the fuel needle drop under WOT lol

Closest station to me is 13 miles, so figure I lose about 26 miles per fill up.

It's still worth it to me, E85 gives you a massive safety net for the power it gives you.

I'm getting about 10.4 mpg average right now.

Do you have injectors?

You need 47's n/a.

If you have a power adder you need id1000 or equivalent.

definite good advice, and with a powder adder, you'll also need a 22v BAP or a return fuel setup depending on how much power you aim to push.

You guys should also consider an e85 mix. I've used mixes of 50/50 and 33/66 of e85 to 93 in a 4 cylinder turbo car with great success. These mixes give you the best of both worlds, the cooling and knock protection of e85 and you still get the lubrication of 93.

I would pull up to the pump and pump say 3 gallons of e85 and 6 gallons of 93 for a 33/66 mix ratio and then let it mix in the tank, sometimes just giving the car a few hard stops to help mixing.

Engine was a 2.3l at 26psi and no knock with this amount of e85.

E85 FTW. Always wanted to run it on my Cobra but never got a chance before I had to sell.

MS3? MAP is having great success with an E30 tune for the EB right now.

Yup, I've got ID1000's and a JMS FuelMax already installed. I literally would have to go to the trunk and flip a switch to 22v to run E85 or a mix of pump gas and E85.

That mix idea is very cool. I guess even an 80/20 mix would be a huge step up in knock resistance and wouldn't require the massive flow increase. I'd take a range hit for mileage but not nearly as bad as 100% E85.

I don't want to hit the bleeding edge of power, just want zero detonation and say a solid 18-20 degrees of timing to redline. With torco and 93, my car is dropping to 14-15 degrees at redline. Without torco it's dropping as low as 12.5-14 at redline depending on gear/load.

I call that shitty.

Yeah, it was an MS3, 26psi of boost and 21 deg of timing at 6500rpm. Had to drop mix to 33/66 because I was out of injector, but still no knock. Some guys are running 25/75 e85 to 93 and have no knock problems.

When I finally get to put a blower on my Stang I'm going 50/50 for sure.

There are actually a few engineering studies of the effect of e85 mixes, I'll post them up later if the fuel geeks want to read then. Basically you get nearly all the benefits of e85 around the 50/50 mark. The incremental improvements from there on are smaller.

Do you need any special tuning to run a 50/50 mixture?

Process, how can I find and email Eric Brooks? I couldn't find your original post about him.

I want detonation potential gone, and will pay him to get me there. With 20 degrees to redline I would have all the power I have been seeking with all this trial and error without the knock concerns.

That was entirely too simple. Thanks! I sent him an email.

Post up when you hear back. I would like to switch to E85 and drop a pulley size. There are a few corn pumps around my house so it wouldn't be too difficult to fill up with that stuff.

No worries. I picked up my HPTuners and base 91 tune from him through his site. He's very prompt to respond. I've been too busy to do anything with the car though. I'm 2 blocks from an E85 pump so once the car gets boosted, an E85 tune will exist.

I have an SCT X4, but it takes me 7.5 minutes to flash from one tune back to stock then another 7.5 minutes to flash to a different custom tune. I never had to flash back to stock with BAMA, but every Lund tune requires me to flash back to stock then to another tune. Maybe HP tuners would be a good replacement, but u already spent $400 on this one, even if it's shit slow.
