I've been working on upgrading the fuel system and started down the Sai Li path but ended up piecing together a L4 system (rails routed in parallel). I have a 2017 and one of the first 2650 kits released, my rails only have -6 orb front and rear (No side/bottom ports on the rails, not sure if this is standard on the 15-17 but know the 18+ have additional ports).

As anybody that has changed out injectors with the Edelbrock installed knows the rails are all but impossible to get the cap screws started. I put ID1050x's in so not sure if they were slightly taller with the cups than the standard LU47's or what but only half of the screw holes in the supercharger was visible when rails were fully seated. I ended up slotting the thru-holes in the rail. Install/Removal is now just a couple of minutes.

The next major issue I had was getting around the heater core tube on front passenger side of the rail. I ended up purchasing two additional tubes from Ford that I cut up and Tig welded the pieces back together. This gave me the clearance needed to run a 90° fitting out of the front side of the passenger rail and over to the regulator.

The rear Drivers side is also fairly tight, too tight for a standard -6 orb to -8AN with a swivel 90° -8AN attached. I had to find a -6 orb to -8AN 90° solid fitting, there is a ground wire on the firewall that gets in the way.

I had planned on running dual DW400's in a GT350 hat with two bulkhead feeds and a -6AN to 3/8 adapter for the return. But eventually just decided to get the DW X2 hat and go that route. I already had a single DW400 for my stock hat so I picked up another. Not knowing exactly how the X2 was setup I found out later there was already a provision in the hat for the venturi so these have to be plugged on both DW400's.

I've just got the Feed line w/Filter, Return line and Lethal wiring harness to run an I should be good to go. I know there are a few that have done fuel systems on the 15-17 but didn't find a whole lot of info so hope this helps!

Good write and Photos. Looking to do a similar Fuel set up on my 18 to go E85, its the Stage 2 kit and here in AZ we only have 91. The Edelbrock CARB certified tune runs like crap so I would like to get it tuned. I know there are ports on the top side of the rails for the stock fuel lines to feed. I think they are #6, but I need to call Edelbrock to verify. Are you supplying fuel from the pump to the rear of rails and then thru the front of the rails to the regulator, then back to the tank? The 18 rails have a rear crossover do you know if one rail can be feed and the other be the return to the regulator? If I may ask What fuel line are you using? What is the box on the drivers side of the blower on top of the valve cover that says Brant I believe.

So the X2 hat has a Venturi port that is fed from the main feeds off the pumps rather than the smaller Venturi outlets?

I installed two dw400’s in my sai li hat and getting the corrugated hose on those little Venturi nipples was a major pita. How did you block them off in the pump tops, do the nipples unscrew so you can plug them?

Yes, I am running a single -8 feed into the engine compartment and then into a -8 Y that feeds the rear of both rails. Then out of the front of both rails and across to the regulator and a -6 return back to the tank.

The 15-17 also have a rear crossover which I removed but can be used if you aren't running the rails in parallel. I believe most guys run into the front of drivers side rail and then a single return out of the passenger side rail to your regulator.

I'm using Jeg's Pro-Flo line with a Nylon outer and Stainless inner, more flexible than PTFE but I'm sure there will be some fuel smell over time.

The box on the drivers side is a Vibrant vacuum block that I am running to the regulator and a zeitronix MAP sensor. Was originally planning to run multiple Hobb switches to activate pumps or BAP's but right now just going to run the two DW400's always on.

Yes. I ended up calling DW and they said I can throw a piece of tube on each venture outlet and plug them with something and wire clamp closed or just remove the outlets and replace with screws. I ended up going with plastic screws and small o-rings, I believe the thread was 10-32 or 10-24 but the outlets have a hex at the base and spin right out with a small socket.

Thanks for the info, very helpful. I'm going to pull the trigger on the X2 setup with their 400 pumps should be enough for my needs. I have a 18 with DI. I like the idea of the pumps running all the time vs staging them, if the e85 will keep them cool, less to go wrong and lean the car out.

E85 seems pretty sparse here in AZ. at least in the East Valley. are you going with a flex tune for security?

There is a station not to from my house on Broadway and Val Vista SW corner, that sells E85. I spoke to a guy with a Nissan GTR filling up there, he said it is good quality. I have not tested it myself. Im not sure of other stations, Apache Sands on Main and Sossaman used to have E85, There may be others.
