Hi Guys,

Longtime lurker here!!!

Being looking for a GT350 for sometime now and being in hawaii all the Ford dealerships in the state (All 3) have at least a $15K dealer markup and even with that they sell quick. So it is now time to look other state.

Anyway, been looking at some new GT350s on online from Ford Koons in Virginia . They seem reputable from what i can tell so may pull the trigger.

The questions I have are, does anyone know any good shipping companies that can ship a GT350 from VA to HI and if Koons are a good dealership tp work with.

Would appreciate any advice.

Thank you for your time.

i've used this site 2x and it's been good: https://www.transportreviews.com/Quotes

read reviews. but man, VA to HI has got to be the most expensive transport route in the USA! :) i dont even know how much that costs , from land to sea. keep us posted.

as for koons, they seem to be a real legit dealer that gets quite a few shelbys each year. maybe the VA guys can chime in.

Thank you. I definitely will be checking them out and will give them a call for a shipping quote. I am guessing $3k/$4k.

Nice videos by the way.

I bought mine at Koons and get service there including new engine. Pretty good dealer in all, the 19’s had some ADM on them last time I was over there. There has to be some on the west coast for you though.

Intercity Transport in New Hampshire is a great company, but that move I would imagine would be north of 2500.00.

I bought my R from them in the fall of 2017. They gave me the best deal on a R that i could find at the time and i searched and called ford dealers nationwide. To me their adm was reasonable.

Well north. They shipped across country from MA to CA 3 years ago for $2200, and I only got that price because they are headquartered right down the street from the dealer I bought from.

Your best bet is to order a car from Koons, and ask them to have Ford send it to your dealer in HI instead of Koons when the car is completed. I forget what it's called, but you have to make sure the HI dealership is willing to receive the car(they may or may not charge a small fee), and as big as Koons is, they should have some experience with this process. All these details have to be worked out before the dealer inputs your order.

I had to find out the hard way all the details had to be worked out at time of order(hence the $2200 transport I had to hire).

Good luck

Courtesy delivery only works if you have the dealer order a car from the factory. It doesn’t work for pre-existing cars or cars in a dealers inventory.

As for transportation, I’ve used intercity and reliable transport. Both positive experiences. From east coast to California.

Hey Marcus! Just returned from a trip to the Big Island. I too noticed a lack of GT350's while I was there (10 days). I spoke with a guy who works at Orchid Isle Auto Center in Kailua and he said it was possible for them to get a GT350 in, but, as you mentioned, you're gonna pay big for it. I had not read your post until this morning. Good luck!

Mahalo!

Thank you. Figured if I can get a 19 at MSRP or an 18 with a few thousand off and pay a few thousand for shipping it still would be considerably less than paying crazy mark up and would be happy with that end result. GT350s are like unicorns here.

Price you pay for living on an island.

Koons had an 18 a few thousand off the MSRP. The 19 are now MSRP and the ADM is gone. The R still had 20K ADM though
