Has anyone tried a lower rear gear and launching in 2nd gear? I can push my RPMs up past 2500 using the OEM torque converter and factory 10R80 transmission.

PS: How are you guys getting past the thottle delay? I have a 2/10 delay between 100% thottle pedal and rear axle movement??
What are your 60' times launching in 2nd at 2500 vs 1st at 2000? I have not tried a second gear leave as I figured N/A power wouldn't be enough to make it worthwhile.

I don't recall any hesitation between 100% throttle and movement though I will check my logs to see if there is anything I'm not noticing in-car. I was more focused on my launch than cutting a light my last times out so my R/Ts were nothing I looked into.

My 60' times are 1.8 with a 2nd gear launch vs 2.0 in 1st gear. But a lot of that has to do with poor tuning. My port injection doesn't kick in till 3,000 RPM, so launching in 2nd gear, at a higher RPM helps all the way down the track.
