I'm going to try and reference mine off of yours. Our passenger side looks identical. Where is your thermal zero tag at on the driver's side?

Is down below the fan shroud I believe. I’d have to look.

Note: First go at attempting to upload pictures here. If they turn out huge I'm going to edit and resize.

Here's a couple pictures of my driver's side my turbo is literally right up against the fan. Is this how your shroud looks as well?

Yeah mine is a tight fit also. Try moving around some of the packing in the blanket. They are little beads. You should be able to thin out that area of the blanket some. Did you try taking off the radiator supports so you can pull back the whole radiator/fan assembly allowing for more space to slid in the blanket? It’s the only way I could slide my blanket into place. My blanket is sandwiched between the exhaust housing and shroud. It’s just how it has to be with these blankets. It won’t hurt anything. I’ve had mine on for a couple thousand miles and no issues. I had them off recently to install my upgraded ball bearing turbo’s and they were fine.

I was honestly trying to avoid all of that hassle of pulling the radiator/shroud assembly but if that's what I need to do then I guess I'll have to make it a weekend project. I mean, the difference in the heat is notable and I can only imagine how much better it would be long term to have this on both side.

I don’t think you are understanding what I mean. There are two radiator holders on the top of the core. Remove the plastic cover by removing all the plastic push clips to access them. There are two 10mm bolts on each side. Take them out and the holders will come up. Then you can pull back the radiator and fan assembly like 2 inches giving you more room to slide in the blanket. It’s literally a 5 min job.

Success! Literally... Five minute job, haha. Thank you again for all your help and patience. I'll report back after today's spirited jaunt.

Holy shit is all I can say. There's absolutely nothing placebo about these. These blankets make a measurable difference in the under hood temperatures. My IATs were under 80 the whole drive today (even with a couple WOT pulls). The to was roughly 20-25 minutes (with traffic) and the home was roughly 15-20. So there was plenty of time for the car to heat soak on a warm day. When I get home normally have to turn my car off and let it sit outside the garage for a bit before pulling it. This time, when I got home I was able to pop my hood and it was significantly lower than normal. I could stand right over it without breaking a sweat.

You're comparing it to not using blankets, right?
