The video is working for me now. As everyone has already mentioned, a leaking seal somewhere. Do you have a way to boost leak test it at home? My money would be on the bov though, solely based on the pitch of the sound versus the hiss you would hear from a pipe or loose connection elsewhere...
They fit. You just have to loosen the upper radiator bracket to push it back a little bit. I had a bit of a fitment issue at first on the passenger side. Once I was advised to do that, no problem at all. I already have a couple thousand miles on them too since I installed mine not long ago...
As an Xtreme owner, I would vote for the Sports if you intend to go LTs if you daily the car or drive it even remotely often. After the first long trip you take in the car you'll be thankful. Corsa does a great job with resonance cancellation but that still only goes so far once you switch...
While I don't disagree that the Xtremes are loud, I think this is a bit of an exaggeration here. Personally, with LTs I would recommend the Sport, yes. However, I daily Xtremes with a catless setup and there are plenty of cars louder than mine. It's definitely loud but your right foot has some...
Nothing wrong with just buying (or warrantying) a new set of plugs. That's a hell of a lot cheaper than what it could of been. So... Does this count for TBR's suggestion of spark blow out? Glad it's resolved though.
I've driven several boosted vehicles, including a ProCharged F-Body with a spool rear end. PC is going to be a great setup that you can (typically) drive just about anywhere and everywhere without reliability being a concern. The biggest difference will be when you put the pedal all the way...
I can't speak for the Exedy but I'm throwing my vote in for the RST based on personal experience. I daily the car and I've driven cars with heavy clutches as well for comparison. It has a learning curve because of how it grabs a little higher and the pedal is light but it's not non-existent...
No. I'm actually comparing it to the blankets that came from Hellion/TBR. Legit, night and day difference. I daily my car and I checked it both when I got to the gym (where it had plenty of time to heat soak with stop and go) and when I got home (after it had time to make a few spirited pulls)...
Reporting in:
Holy shit is all I can say. There's absolutely nothing placebo about these. These blankets make a measurable difference in the under hood temperatures. My IATs were under 80 the whole drive today (even with a couple WOT pulls). The to was roughly 20-25 minutes (with traffic) and...
That's not always true. Since most auto loans are nonrecourse debts the lender can seize the vehicle but typically cannot follow up on you for depreciation or devaluing the vehicle due to modifications or impairing the vehicle (such as blowing the motor). In theory, you could beat the shit out...
I was honestly trying to avoid all of that hassle of pulling the radiator/shroud assembly but if that's what I need to do then I guess I'll have to make it a weekend project. I mean, the difference in the heat is notable and I can only imagine how much better it would be long term to have this...
Note: First go at attempting to upload pictures here. If they turn out huge I'm going to edit and resize.
Here's a couple pictures of my driver's side my turbo is literally right up against the fan. Is this how your shroud looks as well?
