Hey everyone so after looking at Brad's 60-130 thread and seeing how you are able to do estimated whp calculations based off the logs, I am now curious to see if my dyno numbers and logs match. I have always felt my numbers are a bit high compared to the norm for boosted 5.0s. I do understand turbos are more efficient but still think they're a bit high. I will post my dyno graph as well. The three pulls on the graph were made on 9,11.5,and 14.8 psi.

The car has a Hellion TT kit with Precision 6266 BB turbos, Division X fuel system , and a Eboost 2 controller controlling boost. I have the settings on 8,10,12, and 14.8 psi. I have recently been fighting some traction problems ever since removing some weight from the rear (removed Corsa mufflers and put in lighter seats with a rear seat delete) so that is slowing me down some on my 60-130 times. I usually make the hit on 8psi and bump it up as soon as I feel the car is stable enough. The car's pb 60-130 on these settings is 4.55 and the DA was around 4300ft that day with 50 degree weather. Car definitely feels strong. I have a couple logs from last night that I can email to anyone and dragy slips that I can post as well. Just curious to see what everyone thinks.

Thanks!

Here is the "cheat sheet" I use:

60-130 Times1/4 Mile Trap Speed
5.9140
5.8141
5.7142
5.6143
5.5144
5.4145
5.3146
5.2147
5.1148
5149
4.9150
4.8151
4.7151
4.6153
4.5154
4.4154
4.3155
4.2156
4.1157
4158
3.9159
3.8160
3.7161
3.6162
3.5163
3.4164
3.3165
3.2166
3.1167
3168

You stated that you ran a 4.55 - so roughly a 154 trap.

Here is the PBD MPH to Weight sheet:

Seems like ~990whp but since you are starting at a lower boost and cranking it up later it could be an accurate average.

Its all bench racing obviously.

Thanks for those charts! I know it's all bench racing but those charts seem to match with the numbers a little better then the logs.

I think you're right at 1k as well, you could put a couple of sand bags in the spare tire area and see if that helps.

The curves are very nice, increase the boost just get more everything with the same predictable power curve.

not really a problem below 4k with the ten speed, what AR & Housing are those turbos if you know?

Everything looks in line and in order. The 60-130 is off a little because the DA is so high, 4300 is really hamstringing a motor. Curious if someone could do the SAE conversion factor.

I'll have some logs and sheets next week, but we're dialing my car in and did the final heavy adjustments last night. Monday or Tuesday is cleanup of the curves. Car made 1082 and 863 on E85, 19 lbs, Whipple Gen 5.

Right in line with what we were expecting. Car is probably a 510 to the wheels setup without the blower (GT350 ported heads, catless LT with 2" primaries).

On the "efficient" side we were getting exactly what you'd expect in terms of power/degree and the car made great steam even at 12 or 13 degrees of timing and we were getting around 20-25 hp for every degree added all the way up to 21 (where we chose to stop).

In short, your results, my results, they fall well in line with what we're used to seeing. Even though my setup is probably higher flowing N/A (my heads flow 380 cfm or so at .550) it still took a few lbs more to make comparable sauce, because the whipple isn't as efficent as twins. But we're also leaving a lot on the table with lower redline and a little more timing.

The only thing left out from many discussions is timing. I'm pretty sure at 19 lbs we could have kept adding timing and found the point of diminishing returns where each degree yielded less and less improvement. We could have probably hit 1110 or so with a bump to 23 degrees, but not worth the additional risk. I was also shorting the redline (8k) so we could have easily hit mid 1100s revving it out to 8500 or even 9000, it has the lungs and springs to do it, just not looking to chase hero pulls.

At that power level im not sure sand bags will solve the problem. Maybe? Ive never tried.

At 12.5 psi I made 913whp. On that setting, with 18" 305 MT Street SS, my car is flat out dangerous on the street and making a hit is just not feasible unless its 3am on a wide open freeway.

Best to test it on a dyno or at the track to be honest but hey... im getting old so ignore me lol

Right now I have the car down to 3655 without me in it and still need to put the steeda k member in. The problem is the car is front heavy 58/42 percentage wise actually. I weigh 150lbs so I don’t help much with weight distribution lol. One time I had a passenger and some salt bags in the rear and the car stuck from a 20 roll so that definitely does help. I also just installed some Kelltrac struts to help as well.

I am trying to get it dialed in where I can make the hit off 9-10lbs and bump it up from there. I’ve tried making hits on 12lbs before and I know what you mean. It can get dangerous pretty quick. Unfortunately I don’t have a local track to go test on.

I don’t know the exact size of the turbo housing but I can get it off the box later on today. I’ll update the post later.

Sure! It is a 301a PP car but I am unsure how much weight the Hellion Sleeper Kit added maybe 60lbs. I have done the following:

Billet Specialties Win Lite Drag Pack
Baer Front Brake Kit
Corbeau FX1 Pro Seats and Brackets
Cm Components Rear Seat Delete
Removed strut bar and front sway bar
Deka Etx18L Battery
Exhaust is dumped after Corsa double X
Steeda Front Crash Bar

How has that battery been for you? Do you only drive it on the weekends/daily the car? I'm looking for a new battery and that was one of the ones I was looking at for weight purposes and was wondering how it would hold up to daily stuff if I needed to (though i only drive on sunny weekends)

Haven’t had any issues with it. I only drive the car about once maybe twice a week and the car starts up no problem.
