If you could only do one, which would start with and why?

Headers first. Both require a custom tune, headers would be more beneficial for daily driving and have a noticeable sound increase. Intake manifold upgrage is great for high rpm but is still bottlenecked by stock exhaust.

I would say headers first because you get that awesome sound AND some more power for a broader area of the RPM range.

My opinion Depends on whether you can install the headers yourself or whether you are paying to install them. GT350 manifold will be very easy to install vs headers.

The intake is wayyyyyyy easier to install. Price wise, you'll be about the same if you already have a CAI. Headers suck ass to install. Once you get a custom tune and the GT350, you'll be happy. Especially having a PP car, you'll be able to shift later. I did headers first and the extra power was great, but first and second gear go so quick, it's ridiculous.

Looking back at everything. I wish I would have waited, but the ford performance packs weren't out yet. It'd be nice to have warranty.

Also, think about your future mods. If you plan on going boosted. You can run the GT350 with most turbo kits a centri blowers. If you plan on going PD blower (vmp/whipple) do headers.

I like the ON3 kit so I wish I would have done the mani first.

Also, with headers I think the kooks aren't compatible with the BMR front subframe brace.

Any questions, just ask.

Headers. The reason I haven't yet is because turbos may be in my near future.

I'm with the headers first as well, excellent gains through most of the rpm range, improved sound. The 350IM is mostly, if not all, top end. At least with my GT350 IM, the gains were in the 6000+ rpm range.

The GT350 manifold may only show gains on the top end on a dyno chart. Im sure partial throttle gains are excellent from what people report.

I do find shorter runner intakes do have nice throttle response characteristics. The GT350 throttle body apparently adds the throttle response which would be welcome without having to jack up any of the driver demand and pedal vs plate tables. I had a Boss 302 intake manifold on my 2013 and honestly felt it drove a lot better than stock with it even when I put it back to stock to trade it in. I never felt any torque loss with it the car was a ton stronger.

Hopefully your throttle body showes up soon. Interested in how you deal with tuning it and what impression partial throttle gives you.
