Hey guys! I am trying to find a place to install my headers but most shops either way expensive or they don’t have any appointments available until November. Does anyone know a place or a person who installs headers on mustangs, it’s a 2021 GT. Thanks in advance!

None less than 1600. That was the cheapest out of all 4 that I found.

They aren't fun to do. But, totally doable and worth it!
Totally agree, not fun at all, but it is worth it! I understand why shops quote so much, it's a going around your elbow to get to your butt sort of job.

I have done the headers on my car 3 times. Laying on my back twice and on a lift once. If you are going to be laying on your back in a driveway, spend the $1600 and be done with it. It'll be some of the best money you spend this year in my humble opinion. There's a reason shops charge a lot to do headers on a coyote, THEY SUCK to do. If you have access to a lift then do them yourself.

You get what you pay for in that department.

What headers did you get?
One of them said “It just doesn’t work as it should, something always goes wrong installing them”. That’s a local shop with years of experience so I would say it’s more of a finding the right place/ person to do it.

I got Kooks long tubes

Good, so fit will be excellent. Great product there.

IMO, that sounds like a shop that doesn't want to do the work. Is it hard? Sure. But any good shop with Coyote experience can get it done in 4 hours.

Now for you specifically, you got salt to deal with, that could be a variable, but it shouldn't be a show stopper with a little bit of PB Blaster. Find a performance shop, especially if they focus on Mustangs. Might have to wait, or might have to pay a bit more, but it will be worth it to have some one with good experience doing the work. There are a lot of variables that could throw a CEL when installing if a shop doesn't install regularly.

Thanks! Some of them say that installing Kooks on 21 mustangs is hard and one of the more expensive to install option as they just flat out take longer due to the tube design on the rear of the drivers side. They are typically 8-10hrs on them. They noted some fabrication or bends needed. Although I am supplying headers, connection pipes and 3” adapters to my double helix. Not sure how much of that is true but it definitely is some salt.
