I got a full front and rear set for my '22 and started the install this AM.

I got both lower screws tightened as well as the top screw/clip tightened.

There is substantial play at the top and the guard is easily moved inward and outward. I assume this will chew up the paint on the fender edge.

I'd be glad for anyone's thoughts on this....I've also emailed the company.

I can't imagine these install loose like this...

I just installed a set last week on my 2021 and have no issues. They're tight enough to stay in place and I have no concerns they'll be rubbing on the paint. Are you sure you have the top clips on correctly? That's the only thing I can think that might cause an issue, but it really only installs one way.

I had the front set on my 21 GT. To lazy to put on the backs. However, mine were on nice and snug no play but I am guessing at speed they must "flap". I say that because after a few months I notice rocks were wedged between the bloxs and the fender edge. Removed them because I would imagine even though they may block some rocks from the doors the wedged rocks had to be scratching the fender lip.

I have PPF on the front fenders, the rockers, and the bottom of the rear bumper so I am leaving the bloxs off.

I would guess that some 3M tape may help but the idea of the blox is to not have to use tape.

Mine now sit in their shipping box.

Here’s what I wound up doing. It seemed if I adjusted them a little further out at the top they had less movement. Where they touch the paint at the top, I put a thin strip of paint protection film to protect the fender lip edge. They are very firm at the bottom I can’t imagine they’ll move much at this point

Well, I got them on. As mentioned above, a little strip of PPF at the very top.

I also found on the fronts that the clips weren't seating into the holes in the flap at the top. I was able to adjust that, which helped. They are very secure at the bottom.

I'm thinking that if the flaps weren't quite as long at the top....it might be better. Gonna contact the firm and see what they say. I'll report back.

I never thought of it as much of an issue, but I had a similar thing. The top seems to want to sit on either side of the fender and can move. I guess it has to do with the way its clipped on. I have it sitting on the outside and it seems to stay. When I had to take them off to change my fender liners I also notice a buildup of dirt and pebbles behind it.
