Today myself and two buddies installed the APR Splitter on my 2017 Mustang GT Performance Pack. I didn't want to attach the upper rods on the bumper but instead to the bottom of the crash bar which we did by drilling into the bottom of the crash bar and installing 1/4-20 rivnuts to accommodate the bolt on that end of the rod. We had to remove the lower grill so the rod could pass thru and used a step drill for that. The rods that come with the splitter are too short for this mount so I bought 12 inch rods from FS Performance Engineering and ended up cutting one inch off and running a tap thru. Their rods are really nice and thicker with a choice of ends. I opted for quik disconnect on both ends. To me it makes no sense to mount the upper rod end to the facia because the splitter is trying to pull the bumper off. Thus the crash bar. Anyway, this was more work than I expected but was well worth it. The 15-17 had the weak plastic holding the facia to the fender at the seam and even though we were careful we discovered they were broken (must have been done when the supercharger was installed) but I'd purchased a set of quik locks in advance and we used them. I hope this helps a bit for anyone else doing the same.
