Re longevity of exhaust components, conditions here in Australia are very different to much of the Northern Hemisphere.
Most of us here in Oz would never encounter snow on the road and so no salt.
Certainly my coated mild steel (Pacemaker) headers still look 'as new' after 3 years. As to the tube design, I'm still amazed by the low rpm torque improvement.
