Ceramic coatings

Does anyone ceramic coated their headers? I did a search and found zip for discussion points.

Put in an order for some Kooks Green Cats with a ceramic coating on them, hoping to lower the temp under the hood and maybe gain some HP in the process. Wondering if someone has actually done this (ceramic coating, not the green cats) and seen a difference or if it is more of a superficial upgrade.

Unless you're running your car hard the coating isn't going to do much for you. I have non-coated SW headers and my intake temps are the same as stock.

I don't know about the s550 but I had kooks with calico Kool black II coating on my 5gen Camaro and the under hood temps were cooler. I live in SE Florida and my intake temps in my 17GT at a stoplight are at 110 to 113 daily so when I purchase mine in the next few weeks I'm going to be spending the extra for the coating... hopefully the vendor I use is still offering the free coating at that time.

On my Honda, lol. Coated both the header and the intake at a local shop. The finish is durable and won't turn colors on the header. As long as you don't chip it, ceramic is pretty much corrosion proof. I noticed a decrease in power loss on extremely hot days. Looks good too. A shop can do it in colors, and something resembling a polished finish. A friend of mine had his turbo housing and charge pipes done. Looked really nice.
