Traded in the mustang for a hybrid car.

Wife got a job farther from home and with prices of gas she would’ve had to fill up every three days.

Dont blame you as average price of gas in SoCal is around $4.20-$4.50 a gallon (87 octane). It does not make much sense to NOT have a fuel saver of a vehicle.

I don’t know how old you are but once things get better you can always get another one. You did what was necessary and while it sucks it’s not the end. Just remember bigger and better things will happen

Hate to say it but we had the Mustang and I drive a Camaro.

But ya maybe in the future we might get another mustang.

I wonder after trade in, taxes fees etc how many miles it would take to recoup the savings for the mpg difference?
also would the hybrid deprecate faster or slower than the mustang?

Sucks, but that was right thing to do given the situation. I'm thinking of getting craigslist beater, but with extra gas tax initiative to fund LA ev charge network even that may be a no-win move.

Truthfully if I ever had to make a decision based solely on money the Mustang would be the first thing to go. Not that I don't like it, I really like it. But sometimes you need to put your big boy pants on and make an adult decision. A toy is just that, a toy. Sounds like you have your priorities correct.

You guys don't know your living, petrol here varies between $1.70 per litre on the low cycle to close to $2 per litre on the high end. Bear in mind our gallon is 4.55 litres compared to your 3.8 litres. Still wouldn't have it any other way , the roar when you hit the start button compared to any EV ... priceless. But needs must sometimes and i hope the OP gets another Mustang in the future.

Divorce wasn't an option???? Seriously, most of us have been there. Kids, car seats, mulch for the lawn. At some point you have to get a pickup or minivan. It all ends up well.

Now you can understand why older people own Mustangs. We've had to deal with all that stuff, but not now
