Another day, another story. I am very used to people always hating on these things, even before the "crowd killer" status that we have. I don't mind, personally. Most of the time I'll indulge in that joke, like telling my friends to take cover before I leave. Are people being polite when they smile and share excitement when I got this thing a year ago? Because it is the same people that say "Should've gotten a Camaro" or "The Challenger R/T is way more fun." Also, "The Mustang is the slowest and most boring car ever. Only girls like it." I'll admit, yeah, most of the reason I got the Mustang was because it cost less around my area and the popularity helps keep OEM prices lower, but it's supposed to be easy to drive. I didn't want to track a difficult to drive V8 car as my first FR (front engine, rear power) car. I'm 28 and trying to get the VA to pay for my MBA program, so I hope to move up in car tiers like when I finally got rid of my 2012 Civic Si. Definitely will be getting more track time in now that my state is allowing track days again.
Anyways! To the point: I get all this hate (even in bad taste) yet I have people always asking if they could drive it. I don't wanna be a dick about it and say "I thought you hated Fords?" Anyone else get this type of attention from friends and family?
Edit: Makes it easier when some ask and I then I get to say "Can you drive stick? "They'll say no, and I get to reply "That settles that." Actually had one guy at work say "Yeah I can!" He was 18 fresh out of high school. I said "Of you can turn it on, go right ahead." Me and some other guys watched him fail and cuss. People who saw him never touch the clutch pedal were laughing really hard at him. Kid didn't learn anything that day...
