Here is a little list of my thoughts after over a year in the EB:
- The front doesn't seem heavy
- The base GT brakes are leagues better than the base EB brakes, this was even more different-er than the engine
- Compared to the 4 cyl this engine is like driving melted butter, so much more smooth and you don't notice the revs as much
- I actually like the stock clutch spring more than the steeda one
- Holy crap, the HEAT!! With my arm out the window I can feel the heat billowing out from under the car at stop lights, it only makes sense that double the cylinders makes double the heat but this caught me by surprise
Both cars are 3.31 gear, the 5.0 pulls smoothly but much faster. 2nd gear was the only place where the EB felt slightly stronger but its just the butt dyno lying to you once you look at how fast the speedo is moving.
I was really not expecting this car to attract so much attention (in retrospect a dumb thought), I even got a guy with a 2012 roush with 750 hp that pulled off into the gas station just to chat and give me a card for the local mustang club.
Anyways, it feels great to have a V8 again and I'm in love with this color. I may have to get the clear bra or some kind of protectant for the front because my silver car had rock chips galore. Going to be moving the wheels from the EB over and possibly the grilles if I feel like it int he next few weeks, then its just break in time before I decide what mods I want to do first.
