So as I understand it, dealers can prioritize 10 through 19, so if they have many customers with orders placed, they can determine which cars get built first.

The regional Ford reps can then prioritize 1 through 9 for special cases, which appears to have happened to me... it looks like my dealer left my code at the default 19 priority so the order kept getting pushed back. Then when I complained and they talked to the regional rep it appears the rep recognized that the dealer had hosed me and bumped me up to 01, but Ford apparently doesn't give a shit that I'm an 01 because they still keep building cars that were ordered after me, or cars for dealer stock. For example, a guy just posted that his GT Premium convertible with Magneride and upgraded stereo that he ordered almost 2 months after me is scheduled to be built 3 weeks before me.

This is fucked up. But I think if you think about it, you partook in a system that was unfair and it’s delivering an unfair situation for you as well. This priority thing is complete bullshit. Why it even exists is beyond me.

I understand that you're frustrated, because anyone in that boat would be. But its life, and life isnt fair. That being said, constantly bitching about it on the forums isnt going to make your car come any faster,

Two words: parts availability. Tremec or HP parts not being available can easily cause this variance in build dates. This year's manufacturing is not normal, let's just be glad we get the car at all one day.

Uhhhh, his post never ticked me off, and I dont know what made you think it ticked me off. I actually want mike to get his car and be happy with it. Sometimes when you're in a negative rut, you dont realize it, and I was just shedding some light on it. Dont know why you thought I was ticked off. It really sucks seeing mikey getting dragged by ford. And by all means, it's an open forum, and hes free to rant, you are right. I dont see the need to block him over it though. I'd rather point it out to him, the same way I would want someone to do for me. Idk, maybe I'm just different in that regard?

And no, I never thought pointing this out would make him magically be positive. I was hoping to jog the sense that the car will come when it comes into him, and to relax and chill and wait for it. It comes when it comes, getting angry/upset doesnt change that, so I'd rather not see him worked up over something he cant control. The only thing he can control is if he cancels his order or not. But I think he will be happy with the car if he waits it out, and hopefully he does.

Once things settle down, I will again order from Zack @ Granger. This time around, I am going back to a GT Prem rag top, A10, 5.0. No PP, stripes, etc. "KISS !" I will trade in the Ranger and the Miata.

Once things settle down, I will again order from Zack @ Granger. This time around, I am going back to a GT Prem rag top, A10, 5.0. No PP, stripes, etc. "KISS !" I will trade in the Ranger and the Miata.

The thought of a quick profit is nice, but I dont think I'd be able to part with the car as quickly as you did. But its definitely the smart move by all means. Glad you made a profit. What color are you going to get on the 22MY? (I'm assuming you're going 22MY by saying you're waiting for that cooldown period).

New to this forum but have been watching this thread for a while. Ordered Twister Orange, HP , 700a and order accepted 4/14/21. On May 1 dealer provide a 7/26/21 build date and I was issued Vin #. On June 10 dealer informed me build pushed to August 16. Asked dealer to check again last week because of recent shutdown news. Found out today that build has been pushed to October 4. I live in upstate NY and a November delivery with summer tires is not gonna work! I may have to cancel and stick with my 2013 Boss for this year.

I’m near Albany as well. Didn’t get HP which seems to be a potential reason for longer delays. Ordered mine 4/14 and blend date is this Wednesday.
I would totally agree with the HP Cup 2’s a mid-late fall delivery is useless.

Blend date if I remember correctly is the scheduled date the car is supposed to enter the assembly line. I guess technically your car is in production before that, as it has to be painted as well as what we else occurs before the line. In the current environment I would t doubt any dates related to production are all screwed up. You might have originally had a blend date of 7/28 when the sticker was printed and then parts availability or lack there of changed the equation.

I think the recent shutdowns probably delayed the car further. I haven't received any notifications from Ford for more than 2 weeks now. Not super sure. Fingers crossed.
