I really can't define the drop. And that is my own fault and a regret I have. I should have pressed them for more information about it. I never asked how high it was dropped from, or anything. A really stupid move on my part, but at the time I was overwhelmed with too much stuff and I just...
Hey guys sorry I haven't been responding. I just finished moving and now I'm about to go on a little vacation foe my 1 year anniversary with the old lady. I'll be on Thursday to respond more. I'm at work right now and might reply to a few more responses in my next break. Thank you for the help...
I've tried recording it. It's hard to hear over the exhaust. Even on quiet mode, because the rattle only happens in the higher RPM range. I feel like I'd have to have someone sitting on the hood while I drive to try to record it. And it doesn't ALWAYS do it, which frustrates the shit out of me...
I can't lie. I wish I was more of a self handyman than I am. But I'm not. But I've learned so much about not trusting dealers after this whole ordeal. And I definitely need to find a mechanic I trust. And you're right about one thing. I'm pretty sure my car will never be the same again.
I can go on a real good drive, but it won't matter much. It wouldn't be the first one I've done. I do need to do the first recommendation and take it to an outside network to check the fluid levels.
My car would still do it even on a nice summer day after being driven for a few hours. There was never a time it wouldn't do it. Except for after the new transmission. But now it's come back since its had this whine that the dealership likes to call "a normal operating noise."
Tbh you're right. I think there is no happy ending with keeping this car at this point. And sadly, as much as I've always loved mustangs. Idk if I could even buy another one after this whole experience. It breaks my heart to say that.
Thank you everyone for the advice and responses. I'm sure there will be more for me to read later, but I gotta head to work, and i won't be back on here until tomorrow.
Sadly I did that, and they said the noises are normal. And the rattle is normal. And I'm just at a loss of words.
I forgot to mention in the OP, the rattle almost makes it seem like the car is vibrating as well as making the rattle sound. It only does it under moderate to heavy acceleration...
Tbh, as this is my first new car, and my first car with a warranty, and me knowing nothing about warranties, I didn't know if going to a local mechanic would void any of my warranties. Not that it matters at this point, I just want my car to be in good health and it obviously isn't happening...
This jerk was different. It was on the downshift while braking. And it would throw your whole body forward into the seat belt as the seat belt locked up. And it ALWAYS did it from 3rd to 1st on the downshift, unless you were able to coast and let it shift from 3rd to 1st without braking. Like...
I sadly didn't take pictures after they dropped it. They owned up to it and replaced the chin. As much as I hate dealership #1 for fucking up my rims and dropping my car, I think I need to go back to them, or try a further dealership. My case number with corporate was specifically for them...
Hey everybody. It's been a long time since I've posted. I've been through many ups and downs and things have been hard, but some things have been good as well. I've owned my mach 1 for 2 years and 8 months.
I actually really enjoyed driving this car, but due to Ford Dealerships around me, I'm...
4,800 miles into my car. I average 12.6 MPG. I've had it for almost 14 months. I do virtually all city driving I'm guessing I have less than 200 miles on the highway.. And I do most of my driving around 3 a.m. when there are no cars to slow me down. So I do a lot of aggressive accelerating and...
