He saw both tubes rubbing the fire blanket. You can try your best to angle the tube downwards, but I think jlt came out with a new coupler to fix that issue. If the throttle body diameter is different, that would answer it.
i was concerned the angle of the tibe wouldn’t work as well with a 15-17 on an 18 intake manifold.
Do you have link for that? I've been watching their website but have seen nothing. I went ahead and contacted them to see if I could find out anything.Yes. Pre Orders are being taken right now. November/early december delivery date.

My VMP tune with the PMAS would never pass inspection even after 2 tune revisions, so I may just stay with the "no tune" version if this thing is fairly cheap, or I may say "heck with it" and move over to the Power Pack 2.
EDIT: I got a quick response! From PMAS, "ETA is looking at January/February. MSRP will be $130.00" They are not taking pre-orders directly but some dealers are doing that.
Huge but smooth maf curve! And of course the iats!Gen 3 air box to match my 18+ intake manifold on my car. This sucker is huge.. 108mm ID MAF housing
Actually it's a tad over 98mm.108mm ID MAF housing

I literally measured it 3 times w/ digital calipers; 108mm IDActually it's a tad over 98mm.
How well does it fit under the hood? Did you have to angle the coupler at the throttle body to clear or does it fit fine straight on? How does it feel power-wise compared to an open element "CAI"?Gen 3 air box to match my 18+ intake manifold on my car. This sucker is huge.. 108mm ID MAF housing
As the 18+ has a lower hood line I guess you will be OK with room to spare. How well does it fit under the hood? Did you have to angle the coupler at the throttle body to clear or does it fit fine straight on? How does it feel power-wise compared to an open element "CAI"?
I just bought a 18+ airbox to try it out myself. I have ARH catless headers, 1320junkie ported 18 manifold and a 15-17 JLT cai. I tried a 18+ jlt and got it to clear the hood but it had an awkward angle at the throttlebody and it also had some idle weirdness. Some forum members here noted less performance and weird tune results from using the 18+ jlt on a 15-17 car so I switched to a 15-17 jlt. maf lbs/min seems higher and it doesn't have as much low rpm/idle weirdness like the 18+ jlt did but some is still there. It still has an awkward angle at the throttle body so that might be affecting it. I bought the angled silicone coupler that LMR sells specifically for the 15-17 cars with the 18 manifold swap but I am unsure if it really made a difference. If anything it just allowed for a tad bit more angle to clear the hood. Still, Im guessing it has a weird maf signal. Pulls hard and nice above 2500 though. Going to do a back to back test with my current setup vs a 18+ OEM airbox with the velossa tech grille piece and both the OEM air filter and a K&N style oiled filter.
Like it was born there. Plenty of clearance. How well does it fit under the hood?
