Question for those that have deferred their allocation. Have you heard any updates from the GTD team about possible changes for next year? I know Tob has alluded to a few possibilities, just curious if you as allocation holders are being told anything (or anything that you can share publicly)? And if so, is it enough that you think you’ll exercise your allocation next year with said changes?

Cars still have not been delivered, but are for sure in production. June should be the month. For 2026 there will be another edition, that had not been officially announced yet. There was an e-mail that went out a couple weeks ago, inquiring about interest.

Tom, if you still have your teal Cobra, here’s what it looks like on S650. If you’re still contemplating taking your GTD allocation, could be cool to have matching colors…

The 97 cobra is pacific green. It's a metallic green that's on the darker side.

As for the GTD, I'd like to see what's up with the fuel tank issue. Seriously, if I can't finish daytona on a 16 gallon tank in a 500, I don't think it will be any different in a GTD. Maybe they will make a few changes and then I'll have another look.

Most would say wait to see what the initial deliveries do, but i dont expect many will drive their cars like I do. Heck, most will garage their GTDs or take them to cars and coffee. The ones that do make it to the track, it will probably be like the GT guys. They are usually parade lap folks who don't want to push their cars and take a chance on a date with a wall.

So we will see how this develops.

My mistake on the color, thought it was teal for some reason.

I haven’t looked at his channel in a while, but I think Schmee is getting his this year. He’s one that would take it on track and push it. And as much as the guy drives me nuts, Speed Phenom (Austin) will likely take his out on track too. Not sure what his skill level is and how hard he’d push it though.

I’m thinking about going back and watching Ford’s official laps on their YouTube channel too to see if you can see the gas gauge. That might help give a clue too. If I’m able to see it and do a screen grab, I’ll share it here

I like to disassemble things.
Just put a start/stop button on it. I see some people elsewhere on here talking about how great it is and all the trees you can save too. Sounds like a no brainer to me.

The gray one at Carlisle looks sharp AF!

Eh, not really. Not that I've seen. There are few guys who I track with, who's results I would respect, but they are passing on the car for similar reasons.

The problem is specific to Daytona. I am not aware of another track that would have this issue because there is more time with foot off the floor at other tracks. Daytona runs mostly at wide open throttle until the inside, where its on and occasionally off for the turns.

Ben Sloss is one who will definitely push it but i doubt he is going to Daytona (to Tom’s point). If he doesn’t defer his allocation also.

I agree. Ben would be a given for an opinion. His track is Laguna Seca i believe. Again, and shorter track where you are on again, off again on the throttle. The GTD probably would have no issue running a session on a tank of gas.

They tried to shut down Laguna Seca out here. They finally settled in 2024 to keep it open with some restrictions. It’s a damn shame for one of the best tracks out there.

Both of our GT's have been on tracks and have been pushed.

2 GTD's at Carlisle this weekend. One was driven by a team member from Dearborn.
