My ‘90 GT was white and the only white car I’ve ever owned. That looks pretty good in white but I would need a little more stand out outrageous color for this car.
I’m not a huge fan of white cars but a few more black or carbon fiber accents and it could look really good.

I also really like White Platinum which was a 2017 color. I do like a good pearl white color

I’m sure he’s getting one. Whether or not that’s his I don’t know. He’s got a 2005 and a 2017 Ford GT as well. His 2017 is black with orange stripes. I believe his 2005 is red with white stripes but I’d have to go back and watch the video on that one.

Oh, I’m not saying it does and I agree with you however, there are plenty of horror stories of people having warranty work denied because they were seen tracking or racing their cars.
That's mostly Toyota owners or people with an extended (non Ford) warranty.

We will see.... Larry Holt said in a video that the sub 7 minuite is practically a gimme. How far into that 7:00 they go will speak volumes.

My concerns with the car are weight, and longevity. My CFTP can't get past 20 minuites without running into fuel starvation issues at Daytona (running flat out). The GTD has a 16 gallon tank, just like the CFTP. Almost the same power train. I'm curious how they are going to correct this issue.

A 7 minute lap is just that. It's a snapshot in time at one track.

Don't get me wrong, I'm hoping for a great number and a guarantee that I can run the thing flat out at Daytona without sucking fumes.

I saw this as well. It’s actually pretty impressive if a North American car can go sub seven. As mentioned above we’ll see what’s going on with the weight and powertrain.

Not really. Again, Larry holt thought that would be a walk in the park.

I think we are in for a disappointment. Ford stuck around the ring looking for better weather after prime time was over. Keep in mind, the overall cost is about 1M a day for the whole production and track rental. I'm sure they checked the sub 7 goal, but that goal was (again) a gimme. Why would you stick around if you exceeded expectations to the tune of 1M a day?

We will see. I hope I'm wrong

Fair point. But they’re teasing this Road to the Ring documentary. I can’t imagine they’d release it if they did not at least put up what would be considered a very good time. Otherwise that just adds to the embarrassment of a disappointing time IMO. Guess we’ll find out soon enough

I am looking forward to seeing videos of this BEAST on the track by actual owners.

There is a reason they haven't released the weight or the time. The HP in itself is a little embarrassing. 815 HP? The stock GT500 makes 760. Slap a simple CAI on and it makes almost 800. 815????

My bet is that the time will be released. It will check the sub 7 min mark, then shortly thereafter, the wight will be released.

Again, Larry Holt himself, in that youtube video, pretty much said sub 7 min is a gimme.

Soon we will know. I hope they have big news.
