Thats the spirit!I wonder which car I can’t afford is better.
When they make the GTD available in Need For Speed I will have them both. Now I'm stuck with the GT500 only...I wonder which car I can’t afford is better.
Sorry, but the car in your signature looks better than the GTD and the Need For Speed Mustang. Those Mach 1's are beautiful. When they make the GTD available in Need For Speed I will have them both. Now I'm stuck with the GT500 only...
Pretty sure they're exactly the same minus the oiling system and a pulley/tune.The engines share quite a few parts. But yeah, that's about it. Maybe the window glass?? The dash?
I liked the video, but it wasn't a comparison. In order to be a comparison, the items have to be similar to each other and have some commonality.
The only thing in common with these two cars was that they were cars with the Ford name on them.
There were some changes to the heads and exhaust manifolds to meet emissions. Some detail changes on the fuel system. The parts are available, but there is continued debate over whether they will be implemented for '25 MY or held to '26.Pretty sure they're exactly the same minus the oiling system and a pulley/tune.
I struggle with that given spring rates are close beyond what results in a minor difference in ride height, front sway bars are the same and the CFTP rear bar is 1mm larger in diameter. Damper differences are minute as well. The base car does feel pretty soft and has a fair amount of body roll.
The parts you've mentioned are what are on the GTD as of the '25 MY or right now. There were some changes to the heads and exhaust manifolds to meet emissions. Some detail changes on the fuel system. My understanding is the chassis is just a modified S650 aka 95% S550 chassis. Isn't it also fundamentally the same transmission, too, just packaged and configured as a rear -mounted transaxle? Plus obviously the in-board rear suspension complementsThe engines share quite a few parts. But yeah, that's about it. Maybe the window glass?? The dash?
“Contributing to the amazing performance of the Ford Mustang GTD is its TREMEC transmission, the TR-9080 DCT dual clutch transmission.”…..Isn't it also fundamentally the same transmission, too, just packaged and configured as a rear -mounted transaxle?
