We FINALLY got a little respite from the heat so I took the opportunity to install the remaining Ti nuts on the rear. It also made it possible for me to make good on the promise I made to Terrance with photos.

BTW, the Reverse Logic Lug Guide Tools worked perfectly! What an outstanding idea. The wheels slid on like they were greased.

OK T, here are the photos...

You seem to have nailed the GT350R ok. I think that is where this whole thing started..... The lug nut solution?

I will be removing mine from my 500. I think they look like crap like that. There ought to be a different version, but you are right, it comes down to personal preference.

Thanks, T and more than happy to help with the images.

BTW, I like those wheels on the FPB car, but they look like they would be time consuming to wash them. What model are they?

No worries. We sent those for testing, so feel free to send them back. I have a wait list for some.

look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Titanium lug nuts are only slightly less silly than titanium wheel weights.

Testing? No they were part of the 801 package. As for what I will replace them with? I have to look and see what's out there. That set would be perfect for a GT350R.

I know someone with a GT350R. @16Kobra ?

I wouldn't say that. They are light and reduce rotating unsprung mass. Form and function. All that would have to be done is change the length for the vehicles that have shorter stud length than the R.

what is the difference between the two? just longer studs on the R compared to the 500?

Stud length sits flush with the lug nut when set. I can show you a photo of the prototype of these lug nuts that caused a design tweak to make the fitment as you see pictured above.

The fitment as you see pictured above is perfection. That's how it should look.

Hold on, let me find the prototype fitment photo.

Edited to add:

Here it is. The length of the lug nut had to be tweaked from the prototype version to the one i posted before to make the stud/nut termination coincidental.

Don't get me wrong, if you like the way they appear, thats all that matters.

Anything problematic about replacing with longer studs? I do think they look better flush, Tom, but I don't think they look bad as is.
Yes, that is absolutely an option. But what a pain in the ass for a set of lug nuts. Why doesn't 'ol T come up with another tweak in the design and make the fitment correct?

Every time I look at what I have going, I think it looks like an after thought. It has to go.

I feel sure Terrance will adjust the drawing, Tom but meanwhile, for those who have a set, I suppose it's an option. However, I just read a writeup by Maximum Motorsports regarding the install and you're correct, it's a PITA. Plus, you have to drill out the holes a smidgeon. Not something I feel like doing at the moment. Would you trust the "shelby mech" at a dealership to do that and swap them out with the longer version?
