I currently have the stock size tires / stock rims on my 2020 GT350 (Mich cup-2's) and would like to know if anyone has put the GT350R size tires on there base GT350?

If you use the search function I’m sure you’ll see this topic has been widely covered, including people posting pictures of stock suspension showing the gap between tire and fender.

The short answer is yes, many including myself have done it. Unless you’re tracking the car the only thing you’ll notice is less mileage between tire changes, a slightly inaccurate speedometer, and more of a gap between the tire and fender.

You can, but why? If you are also increasing rim width to R sizes, then it makes sense.

If your wanting to put r spec tire’s on, put r spec rims as well. You’ll want to install a set of springs as well bringing the car down about an inch. I preferred Bmr and Ford performance. That setup will improve handling and I actually preferred the ride to the oem 350 springs.

I did move up to r spec width tires but I also went up to a 20 inch rim. I went with a Velgen lightweight wheel that was 20x11 r 20 with a 305/30r20 in the front and a 20x11.5R20 with a 315/30r20 on the back. The car is sitting on steeda dual rate lowering springs. No issues any where, can turn the wheel lock to lock

His comment was more related to you using the search engine before your very first post. He was trying to be funny…

Running mine (gt350) on Steeda dual rate spring and a 305 square setup tyres (on stock rims).

that and a tweaked geometry helped reducing understeer.

Hi RDL. Welcome to the forum. I think you’ll find a lot of good info here and quite a few characters. As suggested above @WItoTX was encouraging the use of the search tool. It’s really very helpful and sort of expected behavior.

I came from a ridiculously modified older gen WRX. You think people here are smart asses, Waldo here would sound like King Charles in comparison to NASIOC folks…(North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club)
