I don't drive my GT PP every day but I bring it out on weekends and do 2 to 3 track days a year. I'm just trying to find that impossible compromise between fun on the track and keeping my wife from complaining about a harsh ride.
I doubt that there's any single compromise for requirements as disparate as those most likely are (been there). Adjustable shocks & struts are going to be your best bet, as harshness is much more a consequence of shock damping than spring rate.

To find your settings for the track, follow Koni's tuning procedure (whether you have Konis or somebody else's, and whether single or double adjustable). To suit her, you'll want to let the suspension - maybe the rear suspension in particular - move enough to clearly notice but still settle without noticeably bouncing a second time. It'll definitely feel 'soft' and underdamped compared to your track setting.

Too much rebound damping could cause the car to come back down harder by not letting the axle drop back down as easily, making the second impact worse than need be. This could be mistaken for excessive bump damping. There are other effects (hysteresis and crosstalk between bump and rebound damping) that also affect how much bump damping force gets developed.

What about this idea, SP089 and SP088 on PP dampers? The difference between PP and that would be about the same difference as between stock GT and PP. Would this cause too much oversteer?

GT: 160 / 668
GT PP: 165/728
BMR 89 & 88: 170/800

89/88 on stock PP dampers would be very good for what you're looking for. The car is extremely capable stock and those rates would only improve it without comprising it's daily usability. Most report ride improvement with the BMR springs.

Almost 3 years and no word from bilstien.
If it's a low-volume-production set with firmer than OE springs specifically in mind, I'm not surprised. Been there, too (with her Subie).

Any thoughts on 240F/800R (GT350R front springs/BMR SP088 rears), with the base GT350 strut and GTPP shocks?

Budget friendly way to firm up the suspension while keeping the drop minimal and maintaining reasonable comfort for daily driving?

Could come in under $500 depending on BMR's Black Friday sale this year ;)

I've just done 240/980 with the GT350R/SP085 with FR track all over and they're nice. Maybe I'll do the Steeda spacers, to get just a tiny bit more rake.

I don't know for sure, but I might be the first guy with GT350R fronts...let me tell you, they're good (and the cheapest option around). Even if I had to pay 50+ for them, I'll do them again.

About the rears, If I could have it my way, I'd do about 100lbs less...but that's just being nitpicky 'cause I really like the ride with the 980's.

I just compared the base model gt rear shock with pp gt shock and the base model rebound is twice as the pp but compression is weaker.

That's quite a surprise...one would expect them to be stiffer on both ways by roughly the same amount. Probably that explains their weird behavior.

I have 4 people confirmed running this set-up now.

All 4 have given nothing but excellent feedback.

Well, here is the dyno comparing them both..

Compression is the top, rebound is the bottom half.

Thanks Rebellion. Has anybody run the GT350R rear springs to confirm fitment. I want to go with the same matched springs at the GT350R (rears are same as the GT350 it seems) and they do come in a tad softer than the BMR SP085.

The SP085 lowers half an inch. I think the GT350R rear spring lowers 0.35 inch.

I doubt it dude, I think you can only run the fronts because of the direction the rear springs are turning, it's reverse so the rear control arms are different.

You can run two left rears.
