Im debating adding the GT350R splitter to my car because I realllllllly like changing things.

How much down force does this generate? My car spends most of its time on the track but the splitter will greatly reduce the day to day practicality of my car.

I have see the APR one and CF versions but they will just break on the ground.

Street driving isn’t fine, some angles need adjustment but you can everyday drive it. Looks badass as well!

A buddy and I are looking into do canards for my car. He has some experience working with carbon fiber. I don't want to install the R splitter because of the same reasons you specified.

I have the FP springs. I know 2 driveways I would not be able to get into any more. One is my GYM and the other is my best friends place, also the 2 places I am most likely to drive to.

I don't think it would be worth it on a DD. I know how often I scrape the regular 350 splitter, and wouldn't want to worry about the R splitter.

Ordered mine off the HCM Carbon for $799.99. Fiberglass direct replacement and a beautiful piece. Installing it next month. Check them out.

If you do the front, you need to balance it with the rear wing

Honestly I scrapped my tech pack more than the R. My offices dip is so large it scrapped my old 150s trailer hitch when taken straight on. Angles, its all about angles.

Some people here are running a square setup for tires. This is kind of the same thing, right?

Frankly I agree with what you are saying - and I would rather have the rear wing first if choosing either the splitter or the wing. When I'm traveling at triple digits I want the front of the car to stay in the front.

I added a wicker bill to my car to go with the splitter. Not trying to be an R replica.

I have the wicker also. I like the R wing but I do not like paint work. Also the install threads make it seem like more work than its worth.

When you ask is it worth it, what context are you asking this in?

Are you asking if it would improve your laptimes? Are you asking if the improvement to looks is worth the $ and hassle? Something else?

If you're asking with regard to actually improving performance --- is there something you're attempting to correct with the cars track handling? Is more splitter area the solution?

If you're asking about looks vs practicality - you're probably the only one that can answer whether it's worth it to you.

The splitter itself doesn't generate downforce, it just allows more high pressure to build up on top / low pressure below. So - compared to the regular 350 splitter, it will allow for more high pressure above it and that will allow for more low pressure below it. Like someone already mentioned - you'd want to balance that change with a relative change to the rear aero. It would also flow more air into your coolers on the front.

Also going to see my body shop next week to see if we can add some sort of protective coating to it since it is fiberglass. The thought of lowering springs crossed my mind but may not be such a good idea now.

Does it do anything at all I want some small justification to add it. Do I think it will increase lap times, I leave so much time on the table I do not think so.
