Someone want to explain the tint windshield thing please. I don’t get it.
pretty common to do the windshield, llumar makes their Air80 (80%) and Rayno makes Air70 (70%), among other major brands. i love it for the CA sunshine-heat and glare reduction. and it is hard to tell it's even on there. i've got it on all my cars, including my minivan.

Thank you for your answer.
Never thought of doing it and I’ve been in the California desert climate for over 40 years.
Our windshields are UV blocking anyways but extra wouldn’t hurt I guess, just don’t get caught .
The video isn’t working for me but I’ll look when I get home.

I have 30% full ceramic on the sides and 18% on the rear window and rear vents. I did not do my windshield, but I know a lot of people who have done an 80% ceramic on the windshield for the cooling effect.

Unfortunately, I can't tint my car's windows because New Jersey state law prohibited tinting front windows. Only back and back side windows.
Do any states allow tinting the windshield???

It makes the car look cool to some owners, but reduces your nighttime visibility. I'm not a fan of it. It is a darkened, plasticized material that is placed on the inside window. It has been popular in southern states with high temperatures and does reduce the heat that is absorbed by the glass within your vehicle.

Most that do require the equivalent of a doctor's note from an ophthalmologist saying that due to the sensitivity of your eyes it's ok for you to have yours tinted.

In Maryland and most other States there is a percentage of tint darkness allowed. Each State seems to have their own percent degree or number. Most States do not allow any tinting of the front windshield. Police officers are not fond of tinted windows during a traffic stop as it prohibits them from seeing who is in the car and their activities. If you have heavy tinting, you can probably expect the officer to be a little more cautious when he/she approaches you in a traffic stop.
